If you don't make $$ at the Dive club, but you do at the high end... I'd go to the high end club... but go to one you like and you feel comfortable in... sounds like you haven't given it much of a chance...one night isnt much to go on when judging a club (usually ) . Best way to know if you're fired or not is to call and ask duh?
As for your question about being nervous... I've been dancing for over 6 years, and sometimes I still get nervous.... its not really about if your nervous, but it's about not looking like you are... basically take deep breaths, relax, and slow down...there's nothing worse than a new dances flailing herself all over the place... usually clubs will let you come in early and let you practice..or watch what other girls are doing.. I've known some really BAD dancers that still made BANK...
AS far as getting over your fear..it comes with time...but something you're gonna HAVE to deal with and get over... hopefully you're not like ALOT of girls who turn to drugs and alcohol to get them thru the day..

You've taken a month off work and now your confidence is down. Go back to the dive club for a short while and become comfortable with dancing again, and it will help you remember why you love this job. Then try out the higher tier club again - once you've built yourself back up.
You stage shows don't suck. You look sexy up there and you can do a few cool spins; the girls were probably just laughing at you as a 'scare off the newbie' tactic. Girls are so bitchy at that club. Ignore them, you're better than them, and I've seen those girls, you're hotter than 95% of those bitches.
I don't know how much trying a different club will help - it could just be the management of this new place you're working at, and other clubs will be better; or it could be that this is anxiety that you'll have to work through regardless of where you go.
Good luck! XOXO!
