Default What I've learned from StripperWeb

"Keep going....?" after a dance is the best line ever. Because I learned not to "ask" if I should keep going, I know that 9 out of 10 times will get me AT LEAST another dance.

Eye contact during dances. When I began dancing I never held eye contact. In fact, eye contact in general makes me extremely uncomfortable. However, SW taught me that maintaining sexy eye contact during dances will better my money. Very true!

I've learned that bad nights happen to everyone. That's probably one of the best things I learned. I don't beat myself up anymore over bad nights because SW taught me to use it as motivation for the next night.

I know there's more, just can't think right now.

What's some of the best advice you've recieved?
    Some of the best tips?
Even some good motivation/words of wisdom.
Who's offered some of the best advice even?

So.... What have YOU learned from SW?

I have learned that there are other intelligent, well spoken dancers out there. I apparently just never worked in the same clubs as any of them. lol

    Great thread idea!

    I learned to:
Make eye contact when Im onstage
Ignore catty bitches in the club
To take my time getting ready and getting motivated before work
To take time enough time off to fend off burn out

    DEFINITELY that too!

Actually, I think it was CaseyLace in another thread who gave someone advice on getting motivated. Saying take a long bath and take your time to get really pretty.
When I'm not feeling motivated, that's exactly what I do and it ALWAYS helps.

    1) make eye contact... it's a strange and powerful tool

    2) never, ever devalue yourself and your services (conversation/dancing)

    3) exude positivity! if he asks how you are, always reply with a smile and "fantastic!" "awesome!" or "excellent!", not just "good" or "okay"

Not to tell anyone at the club how much I've made.

Not all dancers fit the typical stereo type. A lot are really cool ladies!

I've also learned to take "bad nights" with a grain of salt.

Keeping to myself in the dressing room is really working out for me, as the other dancers are coming around.

I've learned things that have helped my money and confidence!

Keeping eye contact, considering I too find it very awkward and uncomfortable, but the guys love it!

I've also learned not to feel pressured by any customer to do something I don't want to do. I"m much much happier!

I also stand up for myself now and hold my own. Hollar!!

    this. hahahahahahahaha.

it's given me more motivation to come to work, i make more money because of the things i've learned here, which makes me want to go in every night of the week. I've been turned to the mindset of, "stripping is not a last resort, it's to get rich as quickly as possible, while doing as little as possible"
