Check out potsplace.org. I have pots syndrome but the site covers many other tachycardia problems. Maybe you can find some help in finding questions for a cardiologist. They have forum section also with many people who may be able to help. Pm me if you want to talk or have a question!
I have palpitations. I went in a year ago and had an ecg with no abnormalities shown. Wore a heart monitor for a month and was diagnosed with skipped beats or premature ventricular contractions. The doctor told me it's nothing to worry about and I don't have to take meds. Definitely wear the heart monitor so they can figure out exactly what is going on. ((Hugs))

awww. Hmmm I do have heart palpitations but I always thought they were anxiety or drug use related. I did go to the hospital once but I cant really remember what they did. I was very out of it. They said everything was fine. I was hyperventilating and they said that was causing my tingling. Interesting you mention the left arm thing though because I had bad heart palpitations yesterday (stupid me took drugs with a customer in order to get a show) and my left arm was weak and tingly all day. My heart rate and blood pressure seemed normal though so I assumed it was anxiety and low blood sugar.
Try not to worry. Im actually studying cardiac anatomy and physiology right now and most heart conditions are not as serious as you would think. There are only a few things that are very serious. Usually a problem with the coronary arteries (thats what usually causes cardiac arrest) because they are the blood supply to the heart and without a blood supply it cannot work. Ventricular problems do tend to cause more problems than atrial but just be thankful you are going to be diagnosed now. Cardiac medicine is relatively advanced and easier to diagnose than most body systems. They will likely find the problem pretty easily and be able to tell you the severity and offer a treatment if necessary.

I get heart palpitations when I do cocaine. It's scary. That's why I decided to cut down on the drugs I do.

I have not but my best friend did, when we were living together. I drove him to casualty. Apparently it was a severe anxiety attack, but he got seen right away because when you're talking palpitations and chest pains there's always the chance of cardiac arrest. He was about 25 or so as well, but they still took it pretty seriously. You don't muck around with heart stuff.
Also, his mother has heart problems, so no one was going to take any chances.
Herat problems run in my family and two memebres of my family have died from them (different probelms in each case). Not to scare you... but just to say from my experience in my family, ALL HEART PROBLEMS should be taken very seriously. Think of all the famous people you remember reading about, often very young athletes who just suddenly died from a heart proble that was undiagnosed.
Take it seriously and make sure you have it thorouughly checked out!!!
