    Default shoe problem!

Hi ladies i ll be audition soon, i m takin some dance pole/lap dance classes.I have a problem with choosin right dancer shoes. Normally i wear 6.5 for heels... for sneakers i wear 7,5 .. I never tried any dancer shoes or had one of them before. I was searchin online and i notice sometin... Those online stores dont sell any HALF SIZES!!! Does anyone wear half sizes ladies and how did u solve your problem???

Should i buy half size smaller or bigger?? i m scared about bigger size like 7 for example i can slip...by the way my foot extremly sensitive...if smaller size squeeze it , probably i ll get some blisters easily. What is your advise?? smaller size or bigger size?? And i keep readin same thing what does it mean ' BREAKIN SHOES'???

if i cant fix my problem i ll try some shoes at store maybe i try to buy online after i do try... i have to search i didnt see any dancer store in my city.

    thank u a lot...

dancer shoes don't come in half sizes ever. if you are a size 7.5 you will most likely need a 7. most people that wear half sizes just go half size down because of this and normally with no issues.

and either way you will get blisters if you plan to work in these shoes; my suggestion: bandaids (not clear tho since they glow under black light; just normal colored bandaid will do.) i would also suggest some insoles for your shoes as well since the balls of your feet can get very sore. if you get plastic shoes and they are snug, you can heat the plastic part that goes over the toes with a hair dryer and mold it to your liking. hope this helps.

Typically with dancer shoes you want the bigger size. Most seem to be made for smaller Asian feet - so the sizing isn't right to US standards. I'd suggest you buy your first pair in person and then order the same brand online for less money once you know the size you need.

Yeah I suggest on going to a store to try them on, try on every different brand (pleasures, ellie, jane etc) and check what size is best for you.

I usually wear 6.5 but went for 6 instead of 7 and its perfect. Better to break them in instead of them falling off! Good luck

    Yes.

Wear them around the house to get used to them and stretch the uppers to fit comfortably. BTW - I take a half size, a UK 4.5 (US 7.5)...and I go up to a US 8 in dancer's heels as I have wide feet. They usually fit fine too.

My favorite brand is Pleaser. They are durable and have incredibly comfortable insoles. I get mind here most of the time (http://sexycreations.com/pleaser-usa...html?mPath=364), but you can find them in a lot of other places too.

I started with 6in clear shoes. They match pretty much anything. Now I'm in love with my 7inch white ones. Time to buy black ones!

I would go up the half size because I usually find that the dancing shoes fit a bit smaller/narrower. To start, I would recommend a pair of clear 6" heels, a pair of boots, and maybe a pair or two of different colors.... white and black go with mostly everything but it's up to you. I get my shoesies at electrique boutique, they have amazing prices and great shoes. Ebay is also pretty good after you know your size, you can find some very reasonably priced shoes AND clothes on there for stage.

I'm a newbie auditioning soon too and found out that with stripper shoes I have to go up one size than my normal. I normally use a US size 6,5 or 7.

But the two pairs of Pleaser shoes that I bought last year, for pole dancing, are size 7 and just don't fit. They're not "my" size 7. They're fine walking around in, but for dancing and especially when I'm doing floor work, they're a pain in the ass. My toes hurts like hell. All because the shoes are a bit too small.

So I'm getting a pair of size 8 as soon as possible, as I can see that a longer sole would protect my toes more, when on the floor. (I'm using the open sandals type.) Even though I've never bought that shoe size in my entire life.

Good luck finding the right shoe for you!

I know this is a contradiction to a lot of comments, but I always go down the half size. The shoes stretch quite a bit as you wear them down so I find that within a week they are comfy. Depends on the brand, though. I find that if I don't buy Pleaser's or Ellie's, I can never get the size just right.

I'm a size 8, but I wear size 7 dance shoes. They'll feel tight at first... if you buy the ones with clear rubber straps they'll stretch out

Hm... I don't get it how you guys can go down one size.

My Pleaser shoes stretched a little too, after a while. But only the upper material. The sole itself can never stretch. And after a while my toes were hanging out in the front of the sandal, over the sole. Which I find neither very comfortable or very elegant...

One more thing.... I'm a fan of EB because they have half sizes on most of their shoes and boots.

I just ordered my first pair of Pleasers and ordered half a size up to a 7. I'm not sure how much of your toes are supposed to be coming out of the opening but there is a little space between my toes and the plastic.
