    Default Still not a stripper...

So it's been about two or three weeks since I got up the nerve to actually go to the strip clubs in the city and talk to managers. I went to the black club here and got hired on the spot. The manager just said, "Do you have valid ID?" "Yes." "House fee is paid up front $40" that was the whole conversation, but the problem with that club is that it was tiny and it looked like absolutely NO money was coming in there at all. Plus as bad as it may sound I really don't want to work at the "black" club especially not one that small. I feel like I'd have to do way to much just to get a dollar. The mixed club that I really had my heart set on working at has too many girls right now =| The manager told me to keep coming back because I'm really pretty and they're gonna have an opening sometime. My only choice now I guess it to travel seeing that I'm already in the major city in my state.

It's crazy that the fall is the busiest time! Seems like everything slows down in the summer because nobody's in school and stuff. When the fall comes around I'm probably gonna travel anyways, I don't want to dance where I go to school

start where you can, at least then you will learn to move like a stripper.

i started at a black club in cleveland, To describe how hood this club was, when i went to my second club and told a customer where i started, he said "oh i know that place. i had a wheel stolen off my truck from the parking lot." yes, it was very ghetto. i didnt bank but i averaged about 250 a night. and i really liked it there, black clubs can be very fun.

until you get skills and learn how to move, i wouldnt get on a diva pedestal about being too good for a club just yet. AFTER you have danced for a bit and know how to pull in money, then you can start being a princess at work. but the sense of entitlement should come from somewhere...
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

you made a good point. I think that I may actually try it out. I mean shit, money is money and like you said you have to start somewhere. My camming check should be coming monday at the latest and that club isn't far from where I live at all so I think I may go back and try it out.

Traveling could be very good for you. Sometimes you can make better money in smaller cities just because there's less to do in the city, so the guys really appreciate the strip clubs.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

The only thing I would hate about traveling is to drive all the way to another city and not get hired anywhere and have wasted all that time and money. cause the nearest places with clubs are all at least 1 1/2 away to 2 hrs

I have to agree with Athena, starting out at a small dive club can be good, the people in smaller bars are generally friendlier and the house fees are lower so there's less risk while you learn how to hustle and dance. While you're there you can chat to other girls and find out about which clubs are good and if it's worth traveling to work at other clubs.

Even if it turns out to be really shit there you just leave, no big deal, even if it's slow you should at LEAST be able to make your $40 back so you don't have anything to lose by giving it a go.

A 1.5 - 2 hours drive can be worth it though if you can consistenly earn more.
I mean ... if you could get $100 more a night for example ... it all adds up if you work consistently. If your hotel is $50 lets say a night , that would be $50 more a night than working near your home. If you work 10 days in a month, that's $500, so it does make a difference to be willing to go where you can make more.

If I were you, I'd try the club near you + try the one your mentioned that is 1.5-2 hours away. As a dancer, you can even work both places usually ( you don't have to by loyal to one place ) and then that way , the customers don't get sick of you and you always seem "new".

Hmm, that's not a bad idea at all. I think I'm gonna try the club I got hired at before again and see what happens. Hell even if it's just for the experience as long as I make my $40 back lol

I remember the most hooooooood spot i worked at. THE WEDGE in the BX. Purposely only worked the day shift. That club had the longest banned dancer list in history!!! the tip out was only 35. I dance at a mixed club now and i love it. mostly Caribbeans and latinas. the tip out is 80. Security is tight. Good luck!
