Default Building a great pay site..?

So I'm starting on Southern Charms soon, but I don't want to do SC forever, only until I have the research and funds to build my own pay site. What it boils down to is, I don't want to shoot high quality stuff and give all rights to SC. So I will probably do some mid-quality fap material for SC and eventually use my good stuff for a pay site.

What I'd like to know is, how do you go about doing it? Who builds a good site for a reasonable price? How do you process payments? How many models manage their own sites?

This will be a ways in the future for me, but I'd like to be prepared. This is one of my ultimate goals.

Oh and also, if anyone has any cool ideas or whatever to throw in, it'd be appreciated! I really liked Undress Jess's site, sooo cute! I'll go with something a little darker, but I love the originality of it.

Probably. I think I'm just looking for ideas. I'm ready to move forward. Oh and I have short term memory problems.

Pls for the love of god contact pornlaw. The first thing you will need to do is start a legal adult business, which is a very difficult process and cannot be accomplished without an attourney. Can you do so without sure, but you will be taking very big chances. If you cannot afford an attourney, business licenses, etc then you should not be in business period!

I am sorry to say it but sticking with SC may be your best bet, they take care of all of the legalities for you, or working with a reputable webmaster whom will take 50% profits, but again will take care of the legalities for you.

There are alot of sologirl sites out there but as an amateur the odds are against you, I am not trying to be negative but this is the truth. If you are a fan of undress jess, I am not talking shit but she shares her financial situation with the world quite a bit and often is in financial trouble. If you want to do well with a site you are going to have to work with a webmaster. You currently have no experience and members sites are much more then just taking pics and videos, and the legalities are alot to bear. There are alot of amateurs who could care less about the legalities, but you dont seem like you are one of them.

The content you shoot, prices of sites and where to get a decent one should really be your last concern right now. This is a business and as with any business, you will need a business attourney to keep your business as legit and legal as possible at all times. If I was to start even an online ecommerce shop selling knit sweaters, there are certain legalities I must know and follow, and I would need an attourney to help me with all of this and my business along the way.

Just because undress jess says she's unsuccessful dosen't mean that Harleigh will be unsucessful. You really can't compare anyone to undressjess.. she's a bit ...different. Love her to death, She's a friend of mine. We talk from time to time and Yes she's eccentric but her stuff is not really mainstream AT ALL, go figure.

I agree with you as far as the legal issues. However, I think people make a big deal out of something that can be done easily. Just like an online shoe store (what I am currently working on) There are some legal issues that come into play just as with any other business. There are ways of going about these things that people do not know. Sure contact pornlaw and let him give you his take but HONESTLY? I say leave southern charms the hell alone. I have heard not so great things about them. Open an account with clips4sale and do all your stuff with them. They are professional and reliable. Creating your own paysite is ALOT of work, very demanding and EXPENSIVE! Though I have the money to create one.. I know I wouldn't be as successful as others because I'm just too damn lazy. If laziness is in your blood don't do it.

Cyberstripper - Thanks for the plug.

As for the legal issues, they can be daunting and are much more involved that running a shoe store.

Also, a solo site is hard to get traffic to unless you have a fan base.

You are definitely taking the right approach though and going slow. You have a lot of research to do before you open your own site.

You will need to be a marketer, a model, an editor, a cameraperson, everything roled up into one!!

I do agree with Malaya about Clips4Sale.com. That is an easy way to start earning money quickly and building traffic to your site, however they are more of a fetish site. So if you arent into fetish and update often it may be hard to make that much from their site. I do know people that live off of C4S and do six figures every month, but that takes a lot of work.

Good luck and feel free to drop me a line when you are ready -- michael(at)fattlegal.com

Yup she's into fetish and BDSM that's why I suggested it.

Thanks guys. I didn't know much about Undress Jess's financial situation. I just liked the overall 'look' of her site. I will definitely do my research before leaving SC. Even the webmaster idea is ok... I just don't want to shoot killer content and give ALL the rights to SC. It sucks but I guess that's what I have to do. I'll also look into clips for sale. Most of my content will be fetish, yes. I know a little about my state's laws pertaining to porn. Actual porn IS illegal to film in NC. This is why I stick to fetish content.

A site I work for was actually raided because people thought they were shooting porn. It's just a topless wrestling site! In the end, no one could pin anything on them for shooting porn... because it wasn't! So I'll shoot fetish content but I won't mess with anything else... unless there's a loophole where I can shoot out of state or something.

Pornlaw, I will definitely hit you up when I get around to doing this. I actually know of someone who is a business attorney... maybe he could give me some advice also. ::ponders::

SC and clipsforsale may also give me time to get a fanbase going.

He can certainly help you with setting up a Inc/LLC but he probably wont know anything about adult... save him the headache and drop me a line... I am still one of the few attorneys that give consults gratis.

For him to understand adult it would take him knowing contract law, intellectual property, obscenity & First Amendment, 2257 federal regulations and criminal -- those are not areas of law that go hand in hand unless he specialized in adult entertainment.

    Good luck !!!
