So since I'm no longer dancing, I figured I'd use my free time to hit the gym after my day job.
I have minimal weight loss goals. 10-15 lbs. I already eat healthy I'm just not terribly active.
Here's my plan, tell me what you think:
Every day - multivitamin + CLA Tonalin + Milk Thistle (I know many of you sneer at CLA but I actually saw some results with it the last time I used it)
Every other day - 20-30 minutes of light to moderate weights, each time focusing on a different muscle group (Arms/Torso one day, legs/glutes the next, that sort of thing) + 10-15 minutes of cardio
Every other day in between weight workout - 30-45 minutes cardio on elliptical machine. I have bad knees, so after about 10 minutes on a treadmill I can't take anymore. My joints can go all day on an elliptical though
Every day I work out - 10-15 minutes in hot dry sauna after workout for muscle relief.
And of course I'll be taking at least 2 days off a week to rest.
Then I had a question as well - I keep hearing that if I want to tone, the key is low weights, high repetition. I use about 10lbs for arms, and about 20-30 lbs on legs, 40-60 lbs on back and abs, and I do at least 30 reps. Does this sound good at least to start off on??
