    Default Living decent in Atlanta

So as the story goes lol. I'm going to start dancing soon. But before I even get started I want to set a plan for myself. I would LOVE Atlanta, if I liked clubbing and partying a lot. But I don't. I'm pretty much a homebody, love to read, and just chill with my little girl. My goal is to move out of my parent's house by the end of the year or the beginning of next year. Sad to say I've lived in Atlanta the past 15 years and still don't know the city like that. I want to live in a nice area, where I don't have to worry about schools (The county I live in now has GREAT schools, but I don't like this area) for my little girl. I'm only probably going to make about 1000 a month since I'm new. Maybe if I hustle a little more i can make more. But anyways so if I start saving up I might be able to have 7K-8K saved up by the time I move out. Hopefully wayyyy more than that, but that would be the minimum. A couple people were telling me about looking into a studio apartment, but I want to start with a 2 bedroom. Only because I want to make that HOME. I don't want to move again. I want to find a nice place, in a nice area and just stay put. Honestly I LOVEEEEEEE the county lol. I would be happier in a cowboy boots, cut offs, and a cowboy hat. I wish there was someplace like that around here, but it's not. Except Winder, but that's too far. It's about an hour from where I am. My aunt lives there. And i love the area. But anyway hahaha after me rambling on and on.

My question is, does anyone know of a nice area around Atlanta that isn't the most expensive? or does anyone have any suggestions????

I lived in Atl for 4 years. I lived with my best friend at the time. We lived in a decent area. Our two bedroom was $850 .. we both had cars at the time and didn't really give a damn about cityliving.

First things first, Do you have a car? If you don't I would work on getting a car first before finding a place of your own.

...you say that being a new dancer you'll be making 1k a month? I know dancers that don't even try that bring home at least $100 a night. If you're only bringing home 1k a month as a dancer you might want to get another job.. Just keeping it real.

Another thing about apartments, You can always start off with a one bedroom and upgrade to a 2 bedroom. Don't give yourself too much to deal with when you don't have an idea of your monthly income. What do you consider a nice place? This is my idea of a nice place:

^ I'm thinking about moving here after my lease is up here in charlotte.

Anyways, This is what I consider a nice place. I live in a nice place here in Charlotte and it runs me about $1,179 a month. You might have to settle for decent living for now and just upgrade later.

Some decent places around the atlanta are

Call them up and ask for a tour and make the decision. I've been to Park Trace and Wesley Park. They are not bad at all.
