Skull Paranormal Encounters: has anyone ever had one

I have been dragged to Roswell every year by my grandma for as long as I can remember for the damn UFO convention. I have never encountered a little green man. I was in Phoenix in '97 when those crazy ass lights couldn't be explained. Other than that I'm paranormally challenged. I don't disbelieve in the paranormal, because I can't prove or disprove that aliens and ghosts exist.
    Anyone have any paranormal encounters?

I dont think UFO's and ghosts fall in the same category. UFO's probably are more in the government secret gadged category.

I think aliens most likely do exist. Surely Earth isn't the only inhabitable planet in the Universe (as a famous astronomer once said - there are more galaxies in the universe than there are grains of sand on all the beaches in the world combined)

However, I think we'd be fucked if Aliens really did visit. Think about it - they have the technology to travel lightyears to visit us, and we don't. Yeah, we'd lose. Fast.

In terms of the paranormal such as ghosts and spirits, I think there's certainly a possibility they could exist, but they're called supernatural and paranormal for a reason - I don't think their existence can be proven with technology. If they want to be seen, they will let themselves be seen.

I'm a fairly cynical person, in the sense that I believe in my own experiences and not in the tellings of others. I've seen a ghost once (with another person as co-witness), and once lived in an apartment that was haunted to the extent that I moved out, leaving furniture and belongings behind.
I say the words 'ghost' and 'haunted' because they are the only words that adequately describe what I experienced, but I do not pretend to have an explanation for what the phenomena were, only that I witnessed them. In other words, I call it a 'ghost' because that's the only name available for what we saw, but I do not necessarily believe that 'ghosts' are dead people or spirits, or any other supernatural phenomena, only that I do know what I saw could not be labeled as anything else.

There was a series of escalating events that included the death of a pet, extreme behavioral changes, seeing figures inside the apartment when we were outside and nobody was home, periodic horrid drifting stench, freezing cold spots, dogs following an unseen moving spot on the ceiling and going on attack mode, mirrors breaking, coming home one day and finding a knife removed from the kitchen knife block and placed across the hall in our bedroom doorway....we were in the place for about 6 weeks before we left.

^^good lord, I would've been outta there in a hot minute!

The only "paranormal" thing I have had happen was in New Orleans. My husband and I went on a ghost hunting trip to a creepy old closed-down hotel. The history of it was, as we found out later, that it was built a very long time ago with a few modern renovations. There was a murder in it (pre-renovation). There was a courtesan who was servicing a client and another client came in and killed them both. This was told to us after the hunt was over.

Anyways, we were all walking throught this creepy place, and I ended up in one room. I literally doubled over and passed out. Now, the other people, husband included, report that I stood up and started shouting "No, Pierre, No!", then fell over with my hands crossed below my chest, as if I was holding a gun shot or knife wound or something.

Me? I don't remember doing that. I remember intense pain in my chest and falling.

I won't ever forget my trip to New Orleans, though!

I have had an experience, but am not 100% convinced I didn't hallucinate, just because I'm cynical like that when it comes to paranormal phenomena - there's always the possibility of some logical explanation. However, I will say that it seemed clear as a bell to me. In a nutshell, I'll say that five years ago I saw and grabbed the hand of what seemed to me to be a ghost motor cyclist. The hand felt spongy. A torso then appeared in the window later that night. And while driving home I saw a ghostly old man and his dog standing on a porch. The ghosts seemed to follow me around for some hours after I grabbed that hand.

several, 90% great, some actual long term relationships with the "ghosts" or "energies" in the home/building. Heck, I credit one building still being something I would buy with the ghosts protecting it! No, I'm not nuts - the woman whose grandfather owned the building in the 20's confirmed a real person for every entity I have met. As for UFOs...Yes, they're out there. Maybe we're being watched, NO we aren't ready for public admission of the presence (I would love to know...but believe the governments need to strategize the release of information. WHY? People are stupid, panicky, dangerous mobs. PERSONS are smart. PEOPLE are what made Orson Welles' War of the Worlds such a dangerous hit.

And the 2 ghost hunts I went on (with pros) had opening and closing prayers (non religious groups, but judeo christian prayers) that asked the spirits "not follow us home" and "move on to the next plane if we can help, or stay here if they need to". NOT FOLLOW US HOME was key!
