Freshology
Hi guys!
So I'm on my second week now of Freshology's GetSlim Gold program. I'm a full time student and full time dancer at the moment, so it's really hard for me to take time to cook all of my meals. For a little while I was having my friend's mom (who is a caterer) cook my meals and I'd pick them up from her a couple times a week. She would make really healthy, low fat things for me to eat. Her business picked up, and she didn't have much extra time anymore, so I looked online for a place that had fresh meals that were filling, great tasting, and helped lose weight. You can opt for the frozen or fresh meals. I might try the frozen ones eventually, but for now I'm doing the fresh ones. They're delivered twice a week in a package with ice. With three meals a day, and a dessert it averages about 1200 calories per day, which is perfect for my body. I'm about 5'2 and 110 pounds. Not trying to lose a lot of weight, just a few pounds.
It is an expensive program, but if you do the math, at 42 dollars a day and a dessert, it equates to about 12 bucks a meal or so. Not bad in my opinion
If anyone decides to do this program, and tries the frozen meals, I'd love to see how they like those!
Anyone ever tried any other delivery services and liked them? I'm open to trying other ones. I just love the ease and convenience of not having to cook LOL

Re: Freshology
Can you set aside one night a week where you can cook? Thats what I do. I buy salads, chicken breasts, wheat bread, lots of fruit/veggies and then just cook the chicken breasts on Sunday night and just reheat them the rest of the week whenever I want to add them to something. It's cheap, and healthy.

Re: Freshology
Yes.. it is a lot of money. I don't mind spending money on food if it is nutritious and filling, however. When I used to shop at Whole Foods religiously, I'd end up spending craploads of money and half the time the food would go bad.
BeautifulDisaster- that's a good idea with the chicken breasts. I think I'll start doing that for a few days out of the week, but stick with the meal delivery companies as well. I found another one, Diet to go, that sounds really good, and they have tons of local pickup areas in the SF Bay Area. It's only 6.50 or so per meal, which I think is a great deal. I'm going to check them out in a few weeks when my Freshology expires.
