They both had UTI's that they tried to treat at home with cranberry juice/pills. I'm not trying to say that never does work because often it does. But I guess it wasn't enough for their case. By the time they did go to the doctor their kidneys had become infected.
I don't know if it makes a difference how much blood there is or not. But I'd be very careful at this point if I were you! I used to get tons of UTI's. I had great health insurance at that point so I always went to the doctor long before it got to the point where I was peeing blood. From what I understand from talking to the doctors about it so many times, it can progress very quickly to the point where it's very dangerous and expensive to treat. I would go to the hospital tomorrow if I were you. I'm worried for you.
