Default What Makes A Favourite Club?

I am not asking you to name a favourite club. If you want to, fine. But I am more interested in what draws you as a customer (and I am a customer) to a club. I admit to having a very favourite club that gave me unbelievable respect as a customer (and I am not talking "extras" here). As a result, the criteria is as follows:
    • Number of Girls. The friendliest clubs I have been in have 5. Above 10 it becomes a mill and hard to enjoy.
    • Music. Girls let you pick songs to dance to. And between sets, the DJ actually gets input from the customers about tunes to play!
    • Privacy. I am no prude. I am no pervert. But a good club has reasonably private booths for customers and dancers to enjoy. I am spending the money for a dance after all, so I should get to enjoy it, not share it!
    • Respect. This comes from two perspectives. Customers need to repsect the dancers. If they don't, I expect quick action by security. As a customer, I don't want to get caught in an escalating fight (which has happened to me and an lot of other innocent patrons in a club). Dancers need to respect the patrons. Sometimew when some of us say "no" to a dance, it is not personal to you.

My most favourite club, however, updated their bar to carry the scotch I preferred, waived my cover charge, and let me stay late after the club closed!

One thing I really like about my club is the personality of the dancers. They're not those "30 Second Girls" who ask for your name and then immediately ask for a dance. The girls here actually spend a good song or two with you before asking for a dance. I once spent a good 30 minutes with my favorite dancer just talking before I asked for a dance from her. The girls here love taking drinks with customers and being social.

The club has about 5-10 girls working. 5 during the work week when its kind of slow and about 7-10 girls on Fri and Sat nights when its busy. I enjoy more dancers working on the weekends when its crowded because it gives me more options when one of my favorites is taken.

For music, Ive never been to a club where the customer gets to pick the songs, seeing as how the music I hear when I get a private dance is the same music used for the main stage, but the DJ has a good selection. A lot of it is songs from famous artist such as Lil Wayne, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga that you never hear on the radio, which I enjoy because hearing the same song you heard on the ride over can get kind of annoying.

For privacy, theres always the VIP rooms but if you just want a LD the private dance area has couch booths that are spaced apart pretty good. Privacy has never been an issue for me because I assume everyone around me is focused on the girls they are with. There is also an outdoor area that is open but no one seems to know about it. My favorite dancer likes to take me there a lot.

And the dancers do respect the customers. When I politely say no to a dance they dont take offense to it. They simply just move on to the next customer. The dancers also get a long with each other. Once dancer whos worked there for about 5 years said she has seen only 2 fights break out between dancers and that they were all immediately fired.

Honestly for me it's the singer not the song. I don't go to strip clubs to hang out, I go to see women. When I leave my house I am going to visit a fav, not visit a club.

My fave club(s) focus on one thing : customer service. This includes not only the dancers, but all of the other employees in there as well - from the bartenders & waitresses to the bouncers & doormen. I don't expect them all to kiss my ass, but I do expect them to be civil and accomodating.

It's only happened to me once that I have abandoned a club filled w/ wonderful dancers. It was due to excessive rudeness & unprofessional behavior on the part of the staff. That club subsequently went out of business. Guess I wasn't the only one walking away.

when i go as a customer, i am the type who is like "a kid in a candy store." I dont really want a girl to come by and chat for a long time. if a girl comes by thats cool, if i like her i will buy a dance within a song if not then i will tell her i am waiting for someone so her time isnt wasted (im very shallow). Usually since i am a girl and i go in a group with guys my age (im only 22) the girls avoid me... so i usually have to ask them to come over and even them some dont come over . so i like a club with a lot of different hot dancers so i can get one-two dances from lots of different girls and not have to talk to them.

a nice stage too-- i like the stage show. i get disappointed if i go to a club with lame stages that have no poles-- i want to see some pole tricks.

and usually i go with friends and im the type of person who likes to make sure all my friends are enjoying life and buy everyone drinks and dances-- so drink specials are a plus. low cover too.

so for me i guess i really like the wanna dance clubs with hot dancers.

and good call on the respectful staff... disrespectful waitresses, door guys, and bartenders are a turn off. however, staff should be quick to side with a dancer though in the case that a customer gets aggressive. from a dancer standpoint it really bugs me when i have to play bouncer myself because if i get the bouncer he just shrugs his shoulders. but the customers who behave certainly deserve hospitality so they keep coming back to spend more .
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Obviously since I'm a girl a big selling point as a customer to me is when the girls approach... and not just one. If like 5 girls are willing to approach I think that is a good sign.

Another thing is what type of attitude does the staff seem to have & how fast can I get a drink. My mood can be quickly killed by a slow or snobby bartender/waitress.

Other than that it really boils down to the overall feel & class of the club. I like a place that seems clean & where I know I am safe.

For me, the only thing that makes a club a favorite would be the people I expect to be there. I only go to spend time with specific people, not to be some anonymous visitor. I essentially never visit a club where there isn't someone I know working unless I'm bouncing around with someone else. Any real enjoyment from sitting in a stripclub where I know no one wore off a long time ago.

A party atmosphere with attractive dancers and friendly staff and crew. At my favorite clubs the bartenders are pouring my drink as soon as they see me enter the club.

At the first club I was ever a "regular" at the managers knew me, came over to bullshit for a while and then discreetly sent over the types of girls that they knew I liked. My favorite bartender (female) also knew my preferences and would actually help keep the other types of girls off of me. When I had a few strong ones in me and was looking to hear certain music, the DJ would take my requests so long as the girls could dance to them (which was usually the case).

The club also has to have sexy girls, but in my favorite clubs this is not a problem. In my first fav club there were a lot of Latinas and in my newer fav club a few nice Italians - my two biggest preferences.

    The food... just kidding.

It's all about the girls and their personalities. I (used to) go to a local club pretty regularly on a schedule, just cause I knew a couple girls who gave great dances and could hold a convo at the same time would be working.

Privacy is important. I like the club to nice private dance booths. The current favorite club has little rooms down a side hallway for the private dances. There is just an open doorway so anyone walking down that hall to another room can see in but its a lot better than getting dances on the main floor.

Let you stay after closing... good way to lose a liquor license.

I also go to visit a fav. But usually there is something about a club that attracted or kept me going back long enough to find that fav.

The overall feel, class and safety of the place is important. There are a couple of clubs that can be fun to go to but because of safety concerns I don't go much or only during the day.

There is one club near St. Louis, that I go to mainly because of the food! The Penthouse Club in Sauget, IL has good food and a good lunch special. Unfortunately, I've just never really liked the feel or vibe of the place otherwise.

    1. Music has to be upbeat but not so loud, urban and bassy that I get a headache after 3 songs.

    2. Dancers have to be pretty, friendly and not the types who sit down and immediately start complaining about money, their BF or the other dancers. I'm there for the fantasy that a beautiful woman is interested in ME (until I run out of $$$) LOL.

    3. Beer has to be less than $7 a pop and served quickly and cold.

My favorite dancer. We usually enjoy some Chicken Wings together on Monday nights and then it's off to VIP for private dances.

So what makes for a bad club? Other than the food...

I was in a club in Calgary a few years back. The stage was separated from the "rail" by a moat. And for whatever reason, the girls could only earn money on stage - no private dances. So the girls would perform a set and afterwards circle the stage with a big funnel to catch any tips thrown their way. And the problem in Canada is the $1 and $2 tips were coins! It was hellacious to watch at best. And demeaning especially when assholes heaved the coins at the girls and not the funnel. I found this whole approach to be very demeaning to the dancers. They had the appearance of begging and then had to deal with what amounted to abuse. I never went back.

The club is still in business. On my next trip to Calgary I will check it out to see if there has been any progress in the past 5 years.

If there is one hot stripper in the club it's my favorite club. The only thing that spoils it is an LD room which is too brightly lit and too open plan. And other customers sitting next to me and yakking to me while I am trying to scope the strippers in the room. I'm only there for a couple of hours and only to see strippers so I don't care whatever else is wrong with the club. Topless waitresses or sexy uniforms for them are a nice touch. Sometimes waitresses are sexier than the strippers.

Spectacle is a key element for me. Podiums should be occupied at all times so that dancers can showcase their talents. This makes it easier to choose strippers for table dances/private dances. It also keeps the atmosphere lively.

At my favorite club, the dancers are very good looking, act as though they enjoy dancing, like management, trust security. The dancers get 80% of what the customer pays for a lap dance, whereas other local clubs only give them 2/3rds. They play a lot of rap, which seems to make the average song length longer. Seems to attract customers who just want to have fun without bothering anyone. Plenty of convenient parking. One bad thing is they'll call dancers on stage even though there doing one-on-one dances with a customer.

Interesting observation, which does affect my idea of what club to go to, and when. I prefer classic SC music, AC/DC, Prince, and also current SC, rock e.g. Bad Girlfriend, etc. Something with guitars . But OTOH, if you happen to be in the private area when that super-long rap comes on - WIN ! If it's too extreme, the dancer is screwed, and you should really negotiate/offer something fair when you're done, because she's offering entertainment for a period of time, and a "song" is not a fair measure.

I forgot to say, all of my candidates for favorite clubs have very attractive girls who seem to like to do what they do. Isn't that the prime, minimum requirement?

Free parking lot is a plus also, but if the other draws are there, I will feed the meter or even park across the street.
