    Default Muffin Tops

    So, I'm a bum. I admit it.
I don't think I've exercised a day in my life (besides in PE, back in school), I'll eat anything (no carb/calorie counting here), and I'm generally okay with that. I'm healthy, 5'10, 137lbs. The only thing that sucks is I have a permanent muffin top!

I know muffin tops usually come from wearing clothes that are too tight, but mine are permanent. I think a lot of it has to do with having a baby...since that's when they appeared!

Anyway, do you know easy exercises that work that area?? I normally wouldn't care, but started dancing full nude again and have NO way to hide it now..lol
I look pretty normal with clothes on, but butt naked, my hips to my thighs look lumpy...lmao

I posted a pic to so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of it than I should be, but if there is a way to get rid of muffin top, I'd definitely like to know.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

    xoxo

You cannot spot reduce fat. So you have to exercise your whole body! I do exercise lots, but I mostly run. And I see people get into running all the time...and if they stick with it.....there are no muffintops left. You are young enough, that I don't think your skin is stretched forever.

At first I thought that this thread was going to be about actual miffin tops. I'm hungry.

unless you get lipo, you have to lose fat everywhere. all you can do naturally is lose fat and gain muscle... and if you do a lot of lifting you can shape your body a bit differently but the way your body deposits and loses fat is pretty much wired in.

for me personally i find eating no refined carbs and doing high intensity workouts to be the fastest and most effective for losing fat. everyone is different.

if you arent used to excersising, try to find a way to work out at least a half hour that is tolerable. i like mountain biking, although i find it is not intense enough for me. try finding a gym that you like. if you find one with the little TVs on the machine, maybe try to make sure you watch your favorite tv show while on the elliptical or treadmill or whatever instead of watching it from your couch.

if that is all the fat you get though with no excersise and eating whatever, it really shouldnt be hard with a few healthy modifications to lose your muffin top. when most people live the lifestyle you descriibe they look like elephants. you probably have a pretty fast metabolism... lucky.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Totally my problem too! I will be motivated and ready to exercise and eat healthy, and then the next day, I lose it and pig out. Basically wasting a day of "health".
    I lack self control.

and nothing wrong with small boobs and a nice ass!

Maybe I should look into lipo. I have belly fat but no fat anywhere else.... so I don't want to lose all over.

Try youtube for exercises and high intensity cardio is supposed to work well also. I'm currently trying to lose my muffin top also. It's hard.

I have a belly pouch and I can't loose it. I don't really have fat anywhere else too so losing fat everywhere isn't necessarily going to work.
What I'm doing now is focusing on a lot of ab work. That way even though I'm not necessarily losing the spot fat, I'm tightening that whole area so it's less flabby, which makes it less noticeable. A mistake I used to make was only doing certain crunches that mostly worked upper abs, but finally someone pointed out to me there are workouts for lower abs too and those have been working really well.

Oh, try dancing reeeally hard for like 30 minutes. I find running to be really hard on my knees, but dancing isn't so bad since it's something I'm already used to. I also throw in jumping jacks, side hops, marching/running in place and whatever else I think of to mix it up.

Start eating healthier with raw veggies / fruits / lots of water. Don't eat anything. Eat more of the good stuff, less of the bad and you'll see a difference.

Urrrghhh I have this too! I think it's just the way our bodies are shaped. I can't get rid of mine... I was there was a natural way to spot treat it. I guess the only way to fix it is to run like a mad woman! lol. I'm totally the same way though, just eat whatever I want and never hit the gym. You have an amazing body though, esp for not working out regularly Do you have to get completely nude at your club? If you're self conscious about it in the meantime you could wear a studded belt with your outfit and just keep that on. That's my quick fix sometimes..lol

That's funny you just posted that because that's what I was doing. Me and my son were just running and dancing around the house. Exercise and fun all in one.

I definitely always wore the belts at the topless club. I wonder if I can get away with doing it at full nude? Like a little black tube dress with a studded belt?
I'm at a new club where we have to wear dresses/gowns... When we have to wear gowns, well, I guess I'll need to start running!! LOL

I think it really is just from my son since I don't notice it so much in older pics.

You're definitely right though, we're our own worst critics and I know I'll notice an "imperfection" first before anyone else does.
It never really bothered me, just noticable when I'm butt naked..lol
    but I'll survive!

Thanks ladies for all your help, support and advice! xoxo

One of the best, or maybe even the best exercise for burning off fat is jumping rope.

Another vote for me for eating well. I think you will be motivated if you see some results and since you obviously have a fast metabolism it wont take long. Commit to eating really healthy for one week... I bet the difference will kick start a new lifestyle. (I also think you really dont need it, but I know what its like...for me its the part of my thighs right under my bum... looks like blubber) It only goes away when I eat correctly. Doesnt matter how much exercise I do.

Avery, as a fellow mom, i can honestly say you look amazing. I'm only 103lbs and i have that hip/waist squish there too. I think it just comes with badge of being a mom.

But if i were to suggest something, I do a pilates dvd from Netflix that's good and i see results pretty quick. Its only 10min each section session.

But like i've said a dozen times before, i think you look amazingly sexy just as you are.

agree. When I first started, I could barely do 2;inutes of it, now I'm up to 15 min. My body killed everywhere at first too. Jumping rope wil works more muscles than one might think. I do it every morning now, first thing in the am.

especially when naked! bouncy bouncy bouncy!

    ahem... anyway... yea.

thats an old pic of you avery before the tats? we have the same body shape basically! at least it looks that way in that picture. short torso, not much space between bottom of ribs and hip bone, and long hips? yea, its hard to keep a really slender torso with our shape... much harder than for those who have long slender torsos just by build.

but yea, i agree, even with the 'muffin top' i still think you are cute as hell.
