Thumbs up These shoes fixed my knee problems

I know they look lame but I had to share this with everyone. I used to be a distance runner so my hips and knees have taken quite a beating. Then I became a dancer, so my knees were shot.

I got these a couple months ago, and have been running several times a week in them. When I first started it really hurt and my knees would be so sore I had trouble walking. This month I've started adding mileage because my knees and hips do not get sore or ache anymore. I feel like these shoes have undone all the damage caused by distance running and stripper shoes and now my knees and hips are better than ever. I love these shoes!

Hmmmm! I have similar problems, except my knees are fucked from dancing period. I will have to try these.

You need to reed the book Born To Run. It talks about those shoes and barefoot running fixing running injures.

Athena has been talking about getting a pair of those I believe.

I have these shoes and I do like them alot! I got them about a month ago. People look at me a little funny, but I like it. I am still getting used to wearing them though and got an injury running. So be a little careful at first getting used to them.

Does anyone remember that episode of Married With Children where Al designs God's shoes?

    http://www.bundyology.com/hpg/608.html

These totally remind me of that. I think that the feet and body really do need the ability to propel from the toes though, so these are pretty brilliant.

yeah, for these shoes anyway. I actually can't wear some brands of shoe because my second toe is considerably longer than my big toe. The shape of my toe line is different from what is needed for these shoes. My balance is outstanding though, so I guess there's the trade off.

Daniella: Can you jump up a size? Because the heel is adjustable so it can still fit snug in a bigger size.

Jenna: So far I haven't had people say anything weird about them to me. Instead they stop me and ask how I like the shoes because they've been thinking about getting a pair. I second starting off slow. Like I said I was incredibly sore at first, and it hurt. But I think I've had them a couple months now, and everything is way better!

These are pretty cool. I may look into getting my own pair. When I'm not working, I prefer to go barefoot to minimize strain/damage on my feets, calves, etc. Since I started doing it, I'm feeling sore from work more, but I figure that'll subside as I get used to it. After all, I've predominantly worn heels (at work or otherwise) for about seven years now.

All the comforts of going barefoot without the worry of stickers in the grass or sharp edges on stones.
Exotic dancing is like any other job.
If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.
If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

my big toe would be way too loose and my other toes would be placed all wierd if I went a size up. I have pretty kick ass running shoes though; those just look really cool.

Haha, that's so funny you say that. Mine are green so I feel like aqua (wo)man.

I have awful ankle knee and back problems, and have been working a lot-haven't even been dancing a year yet and everything just hurts. Although I've been taking ballet+modern dance (barefoot) since I was 5, so not sure these would help since it's not running injuries?

It probably would. A lot of my injuries were aggravated by dancing. The tricky part is you have to start running in addition to what you already do, THEN deal with being super sore for the rest of the day.
