    Default Toes going numb?

I've noticed that while I do my cardio running workout, my toes get numb, starting from the outside and working their way in.

It's not necessarily uncomfortable, but I know it's not good.

Possibly wearing the wrong shoe. Go to running shore and get checked for overpronation or underpronation and be fitted.

    Also could be your posture.

Runnersworld.com has great articles on this stuf and more.

This is typical on the elliptical but I'm surprised it is hapening when running. How is you circulation usuay? Are your shoes too small or too tight? What are you eating?
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Well yeah, it is on the elliptical.

I use walking shoes (they're the shoes I wear everyday) and they're not too big or small. Diet is healthy, lots of veggies, lean meats, whole grains, I'm cutting back on fried and processed stuff.

Circulation wise, my legs fall asleep often, and I often wake up with my arms asleep in the morning. I have moderate to low blood pressure.

    I also have bad curculation

this is a very common problem fornpretty much everyone on te elliptical, especially if your work out exceeds a half hour. What I do is every 10 min I quickly stop and shake each leg. Don't stop long, u don't want to reset the elliptical, but just enough for a quick shake or two of each leg. The problem is your leg is in the same position and not poundig on the ground like it is when eunnig, which is good for joints but bad for circulation. Anoter option is some
machines have a reverse mode, maybe do 4 min forward then 1 min in reverse etc to keep the blood pumping.

Also since you aren't dealing with the same stress as actual running, you don't need your shoes to be as tight for support. I keep my shoes way loose on the elliptical.

    Why wear walking shoes?

Always always always wear shoes specific to your sport, it's just asking for injury. I play mad tennis on hard courts and would never think of wearing wearing a regular sneaker that isn't engineered for what I'm doing.

Impact sports, especially running, NEED the real deal even on elliptical. Keep an eye out for changes in toenail color if you have circulation issues, alot of runners turn black temporarily.

i've got low blood pressure too, and awful circulation in my extremities. my hands and feet are basically always cold.

i used to have a bigger problem with numbness on the elliptical, but it's mostly gone away. reasons...
    1) i periodically lift my feet and shift how they are positioned. you do this when the foot is at the top. super easy.
    2) i wiggle my toes occasionally, especially in the earlier part of my workout. once the blood is really pumping, numbness becomes less likely.
    3) my newest pair of shoes are for wide feet. it's common for women to have wide feet, especially around the toes. they felt too big in the store, but they were only 30$ so i figured it was worth trying a different size just to see how it felt. and it feels great. i only wear them at the gym, so i'll have them for a while. 30$ well spent. oh, also, they don't have elevated heels like my old nike shox did. it took some getting used to, i was sore at first from muscles being used differently. that might have something to do with the numbness though. the new ones are also nikes. can't recall what type. i have healthy feet (just cold) and an even stride, and it's not like i'm running, so i don't need the fancy shoes anyways.
-love everyone but keep them far from your soul-
