    Default White Ink Tattoos?

I am thinking of getting one..... I have absolutely no tattoos now, but this appeals to me because I feel like it would look amazing if I got really tan, but inconspicuous when I'm pale. I want something meaningful, a phrase, a word, I don't know.... I've always wanted a tattoo that said either "Fuck Love" or "Trust No Man" but my friend said I might as well just tattoo Jaded across my forehead. She has one, it says "Evolve" in cursive across her inner forearm, and it's beautiful! Opinions?

I actually would want a "Fuck Love" or "Trust no man" tattoo too. The good thing about the white ink is it would only show up under black light right? If so that is a good idea since some of the upscale clubs are againist tattoos.

Actually no, it's totally different from black light ink, it's more translucent and almost looks like a faint scar. In person, you can't notice it at all! Unless you look really closely....

My boyfriend has a tattoo with some white ink in it and it is fairly visible, it has an outline though.

    I think they are pretty!

White ink is the most photoreactive color there is in use for tattooing. How your tattoo will look after a couple of years, especially on tan skin, is really dependent on the brand of ink that the tattoo artist uses. Best case is it will stay looking relatively white or off-white, worst case is it will turn a weird yellow, kinda like dried up mayonnaise.
White is also notorious for dropping out in areas, and that is the last thing you want in rendering any kind of lettering. My experience in seeing healed white-only tattoos after a few years is roughly 50/50, depending on many factors, ranging from client skin type, to environment, to artist technique.

What brand is good? And technique? I've heard not to use a stencil, and draw a blood line? Also, I read that StarBright or something like that is the best ink. What do you think? You've seen my facebook pictures, I have tannish skin naturally, but not too much, but I do turn black in the sun.

I have seen the black light tattoos & the white tattoos. To me the blacklight tattoos look more like a scar, but really they both sort of look like scars. I'm not a tattoo person, & for modeling anything that looks like a scar or freckles are typically bad - so I wouldn't get one. If you don't have to worry about those things then go for it!

Starbright is actually one of the most photoreactive whites I've ever used; I've had white highlights come back after a year needing re-working. I usually tell people with dark skin who want a subtle effect to go for super transparent grey, but if you go to a really good shop they will take care of what you need either way.

I have a very delicate kanji character as part of my dragon tattoo. The outline around my red kanji is white, and it has to be touched up every six months or so due to it's dropping out. It's a huge pain in the ass, and had I known this would happen I probably would have went for a different layout.

    Just something to consider.

I would love to get one, but I'm black so obviously it wouldn't be hidden. I've always wanted a certain adjective tattoed on me, but only somewhere not easily seen so I wouldn't have to explain myself.

What do you mean photoreactive and white highlights coming back? I don't know shit about tattoos. What would you use on me? I want that pale white subtle scar like appearance.

How close to scarring does it actually look? I've performed a few scarrifications and would love to have some scarring of my own, but I keep finding myself running into two drawbacks-

    1) I want to have kids and I'm afraid of how the scarring/tattoo would react to pregnancy (I want them on my sides, hip to rib)
    2) The some times irregular results of scarring.

I would deplore going under the scalpel to end up with keloids that are too exagerrated in some spots or dips, or going through all the pain, money and healing time (I can't dance while scars on my sides heal!) for it to be utterly ruined after I have kids.
Exotic dancing is like any other job.

If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

that does sound really cute but my gawd the bottom of the foot would hurt like hell since most of our nerves are in the bottom of our feet! eek lol plus sometimes tattoos kinda tickle so i would probably be afraid of kicking the artist in the face

    Mine would read:

    Product of the U.S.A.

Since I was born in Canada and raised in California, USA (and here I am back in Canada)

I am deciding between "Be Immaculate" across my upper back/shoulders, under the nape of my neck, or "Loved" (cliche, I know, but I always wanted it after I saw the What It Feels Like For A Girl music video by Madonna) on my inner forearm. What do you guys think??? I always want a cursive script like my friend with the "Evolve" tattoo.

Consider a different language if you want to do something like "fuck love".

I have white ink down my spine. I love it. It's the perfect amount of there and not there all at the same time. The only pic I have though is from when I first had it done so it doesnt look like this anymore but still....
