yep same stuff. idk what brand i have since most of the print is in chinese (or maybe japanese idk), there is only enough english to say what it is and list nutritional facts.
this is because it is basically all dietary fiber and water. the thing with increasing dietary fiber in your diet is you are supposed to do it gradually or you do get bloated etc. most americans eat less than half of the amount they are supposed to eat. so your body is probably not used to the fiber.
so yea if you eat a diet low in fiber i wouldnt start eating too much of these right away as they will make you bloated. and if you do eat a diet low in fiber you should be looking into fixing that anyway, completely separate from shirataki noodles, because fiber is supposed to be important for some reason. i didnt have problems with bloating but i already eat a decent amount of fiber as is.
did you try rinsing them? they smell weird but if you rinse them they smell ok.
i can see why a lot wouldnt like the texture. i personally dont mind it, but the smell before they are rinsed is nasty.
yea it works for me to stop pasta cravings. not sure how well it will for others.
mac and cheese is one of my faves-- today i just took some vegan cheese substitute, put it over (rinsed) shirataki noodles, and microwaved it, stirred it, put it in the fridge a couple min to thicken, then added salt. didnt taste quite as good as kraft but it hit the spot. i have to research better recipes though.. im not naturally a good cook so i am sure that other ppl on the internet have WAY better ways to recreate mac and cheese without dairy and with shirataki noodles lol.
also, starmaker: anyway you can post that low carb fetuccine recipe? or is it top secret

? i would super appreciate it
