I'm sure a few members of this forum have seen either the movie Serenity or the series it's based on, Firefly. And those who have will immediately recognize the companion Inara.
Her job is more or less like courtesans or oiran of the past. She's knowledgable of multiple arts, from sex to singing, dancing to dating. And because of my own unique dating position (or lack thereof), her profession got me to thinking of putting my own spin on the traditional escort with some of my own talents.
I've never had complaints as a date. As a social chamelion, I can get down and dirty at the bar or put on a sophisticated appearance while sipping martinis. Obvious plus to being an escort.
I give a fairly good massage if I do say so myself, and have considered doing some kind of training as a massage therapist. Some clients aren't so much looking for a date as looking for some relaxation with a pretty girl, so I think massage would be awesome to offer.
I may not be as great as girls in the salon, but I give a wonderful manicure and get rave reviews on makeup application, and do a decent job as far as hairstyling and barbering goes. Because of that, I've considered getting certification/licensing as a beautician and esthetician. Ladies like to get as much bang for their beauty buck as they can (it's the luxury vs affordability thing) and I've never heard a man complain about getting a haircut from a pretty girl.
And I have a pretty good eye for fashion, thanks to a very active imagination and love of never-go-wrong classics. What woman wouldn't like her own stylist/wardrober for a shopping date?
Overall, I think the concept could be pretty hit or miss. But both has it's bright sides. If it's a hit, I can could turn a good profit and help bring a new form of "escorting" to the mainstream (not saying my idea is totally original- there may be several other escorts who already do these kinds of things- but the more there are, the more notice it gets) If it's a miss, I will still have my certifications, which offer me more work opportunities outside of dancing.
What do you girls think?
