Is your account and admin account? Do you have the PW for the admin?
Yes I am the admin account.

Have you tried the safe boot mode?
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Has this been fixed yet?
There's a few possibliities here. One is a virus off that Email - the others are below:
1) CAPS LOCK might be on.
2) Passwords in Windows are case-sensitive, which means that every time you type your password, you have to capitalize each letter in exactly the same way that you did when you first created it. If you have accidentally pressed CAPS LOCK, then you're inadvertently typing your password in all capital letters. Make sure CAPS LOCK is off, and then type your password again.
3) You might be typing the wrong password.
4) If you can't remember your password, you need to reset your password, either with a password reset disk or an administrator account. For more information, see Reset your Windows password.
5) An administrator on the computer might have reset your password.
6) If your computer is on a network, a network administrator has the ability to reset your password. If you think this might be the problem, check with your network administrator. If your computer is in a workgroup, anyone who has an administrator account on the computer can change your password.
7) You might be trying to log on to the wrong user account
7a) If you have more than one user account on the computer, make sure you're logging on to the account that matches the password you're using.
Some of these of course will not apply - but it's worth checking through them in any case.
What Operating System are you running? (XP....Vista..Windows 7..??)
There are 2 options you will see at 'boot up'. Should be F2 Set Up...and F12 Start/Boot. Or it may be the other way around.
Either way - you need to hit the 'F' key and the number, to get into Set Up to manually log-in and re-set the password.
Once you're logged in - go to your User Account - and click on the link at the left that says 'reset password'. After you have done this - make a password BACK UP.
Your User Account will have an option to 'create a back-up disc'. This can be a USB Flash Drive as well. Do this - so if you forget it....you can log-in using the USB stick.
Also - check the time limit on the password - again in your user Account. Sometimes the system applies a 999 day time limit on the password before it expires.
You can cancel this.
Anyway - let me know which Operating Software you have - and I'll look again.....if you haven't got into it yet.

"Good Girls keep diaries....Bad Girls don't have the time..!!"
maybe you could try system restore from safe mode??
also regarding what pussyinboots said about the password stuff; make sure your keyboard is clean. may have a key that is sticking?

If the screen went blank just after you opened an email and the computer rebooted (i.e. restarted) it looks like you might have got a virus.
When you opened the email, did you open an attachment in the email?
It's very difficult to get a virus from an email direct, but a lot of viruses come in the attachments - click the attachment and you install the virus.
Some viruses read the email address books of infected computers and send on infected emails to addresses in those address books, thus spreading themselves.
As has been suggested try starting the computer in Safe Mode - to do this turn your computer on and press the F8 key every few seconds until you get asked if you want to start in safe mode.
Say yes, and the computer will start in a restricted mode - the graphics will be pretty basic for example - but you should be able to start any anti-virus software you have scanning for viruses.
Phil.
