    Default Question about camming...

I know these are sketchy questions to ask, but I must know.

    1) Is there any way to cam and make the money under the table? Or is camming money always in check form? (I ask because my mom still claims me as a dependent, so I can't technically make more than 50% of what the IRS would estimate she spends on my wellbeing).

    2) Once you start camming, is there any way for future employers to find out that you've cammed in the past? (Aside from the possibility that the employer actually sees you on the webcam. I'm talking about any kind of licensing issues) I'm always paranoid that things like this could come back and bite me--whereas dancing in a club seems less 'official'.

This is has been dicusssed about this before.

IF you are old enough to choose webcamming as a gig you should be filing your own taxes. since your an adult.

IF your in the USA and your camming some sites will send you the appropriate tax forms.

Your not an employee of these cam sites by any means your an independent contractor.

I already do file my own taxes as an independent contractor, but as my mom's dependent. Thus, my tax situation is a bit more complicated than others'.

Same, my mother claimed me for a few years because I live in her household and am currently still in school. I just started camming in November/December and only had a few hundred dollars calculated in the fiscal year (I think their end point is Dec 31 or something).

Last year I was fine, but this year I have a few thousand on the books so I am probably just going to tell her not to claim me at all because of the amount I have accumulated since December is over $5, 000. Just file as a dependant from now on, tell them you are self-employed.

^ Yeah, I had a feeling I couldn't really cam until I start claiming as an independent (after this semester, since I'll then have my mom's health insurance until I'm 26 thanks to new laws!)

I was under my mom's insurance as well because I am a full-time student but then the insurance company just dropped me with no reason and I was still in school, full-time, and only 20. The insurance company told me to contact my parent's employer but I ddn't want to fk with her job like that, so I let it go. I can afford to go to the eye doctor with my money, but yeah the real doctor is another story. Take care of myself and hope for the best I guess.

There is absolutely no legal way of making money under the table in the cam business. Any legitimate website well known website is going to pay you by check, wire transfer, or direct deposit. There are no websites that I know of or have even heard of that pay cash and if they did I would NOT want to work for them cause I don't like shady shit!
Far as future employment, Yes! Any business can conduct a background check that includes your social security number and it will bring up your employment history as fast as PayPal can! Once they research or Google your employment history they will see that the business incorporated was a adult site. It's easy to find and unless you plan on working for some Fortune 500 company as a big time business executive or being involved in politics then you don' t really have anything to worry about. Only career positions that require alot of responsibility and involve a six-figure salary will conduct a ''comprehensive'' employment background search! Exotic dancing seems to be something you would want to stick with or maybe interested in since it is a ''cash'' based business and you also don't have to worry about your images and private shows being blasted across the internet as proof of your past. Any website owner can reveal your identity for the exchange of cash if you become a celebrity or a politician. Seriously! If the price was right don't think they wouldn't.

At least you're smart enough to ask ''first'' and NOT after you've already been camming for a few weeks. It amazes me how so many girls dive nose first into this business without really knowing wtf their getting into! This business is not all fun and games. It cam come back to haunt you in the long run and make you regret you ever considered it.

OMG thanks Devon. This is exactly info I was looking for in the last post i posted. You totally just dissuaded me. I may look into stripping now, camming cant be for me even if I am faceless. The search engine really does suck guys, I dont see how anyone gets upset at others for not doing the research...i m literally spending hours and hours reading to find the info i need.
