Alright, so my big sis is getting married in a week and a half and I have a gorgeous dress I wanna wear... problem is, the dress is ivory white, and I'm pale, with uneven skintone on my arms.
Spray tan is out of the question. This dress is too nice, and spray tans always always ALWAYS rub off of me and onto my clothes, no matter how dry I am. Plus I'll be outdoors and I'll be sweating so that'll only exacerbate the problem.
So I'm looking to start sunbathing. Like, tomorrow. I don't get enough sun as it is anyway, and a little bit of sun every day is healthy for you. Just 15 minutes of good sun exposure can give you your daily amount of vitamin D.
Thing is, I've never tanned before, I am pale, and don't really know where to start. This is my plan to start with, tell me how it is:
I'm using Banana Boat's Dry Oil Spray, 8 spf (read good reviews on it). Planning on applying it all over, baking about 8-10 minutes on each side. Once I get back inside, I'll coat myself in Palmer's Cocoa Butter (<3), let that soak, and then shower about an hour or so later.
And of course I don't plan on becoming a sun diva. I'm a nerd, dammit. I avoid sunlight like the plague. I just need a little contrast so I can wear some white and not look weird.
