Default I was videotaped at work

(I know I post alot but this is the only place where I can voice my concerns).

So, at work, myself and another girl were videotaped..by a female patron. I told my manager and although that didn't do much, she was kicked out.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so, how did you go about dealing with the situation? I'm scared she may post this to the internet. I was clothed when it happened

It happened on private property (in the club), & you didn't sign a model release. If she posts it to the internet you will need to issue a DMCA Takedown Notice of Copyright Infringement:
    http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/09/d...ringement.html

You'll need to e-mail it to the webmaster of the website where the customer posts the video, the customer themselves if possible, & I would suggest e-mailing it to the web host as well.

If the notice doesn't work then you will want to contact a lawyer.

This is my number one thing with stripping! The pictures and videos are ridiculous. Who the hell are they that they think it's okay to record someone without their permission! It's absolutely unacceptable and management should be more concerned with it.
My club is horrible with picture takers, we have to be on the watch all the time. Most of our bouncers are good about it once we catch the person and bring them the phone, but let's face it, with camera/video phones being how they are now, it's impossible to prevent without banning phones altogether. Our club is sooooo bright you would never know if someone just snapped a photo unless you actually saw it in action...
It's only more of a growing problem since strip clubs are so "cool" and everyone wants to come in, and even take a piece of the action home with them. I think most is not even for their pleasure, it's just because they know it's wrong and they want to disrespect us! Same with people stealing our outfits, just to brag about it later.
Girl, I am so sorry this happened to you. I really hope nothing comes of it. Hopefully this dumbass chick just deleted it later... or you weren't easily visible on the screen.
We had a girl get videotaped dancing and it was on facebook. She got it deleted but the guy didn't get banned or anything.... It's extremely frustrating.
Because we strip means we don't deserve any privacy at all??? Pictures are so disrespectful to me. In some countries they feel it takes from your soul! We are naked, that must take from something!!!

I'm a bitch about it. Anytime I see a photo being taken or even if it LOOKS like they are taking it, I will run over and check and yell at them and make them delete. Or get the bouncer. I have jumped off stage and even gone across the room.. You have to watch for it. Some guys even hold their phones to their ears as if they are talking, but are actually videotaping. I have caught them and seen the videos.
Fuck you loser, go watch a porno.

As soon as I saw her do this, I hopped off stage, told management who then wanted to know where she was seated. Didn't go back on stage until I knew she stopped doing it. I warned other girls about it also, told them "hey, just a heads up, theres a girl taping dancers on stage" and pointed out where she was seated.

I find it to be a blatant example of careless disrespect to do this to someone at their place of work. It was obvious that she had never been in a strip club. If she really wanted a memento of her experience, she should have bought a fuckin shirt then.

So they didn't grab her and make her delete footage ? I'm so sorry ! I've also had to go through phones and delete. That's when I catch it too ( lucily .... most phones have such LOW photo quality .... it's hard to recognize a person in low light ). Still ... people should just not point phones. It's awful. You can also periodically good stuff like " photos , club xyz " and see if any appear via google ( they probably won't) just to ease your mind.

I saw one of my girlfriends getting videotaped on a cellphone giving a lapdance by the guys buddy. i snatched his phone out of his hand and said he either deletes it or i'll call the cops and smash his phone.
Then just last week we had some europeans come in and they were taking pictures, i shook my finger and said no way, then when i got off i had them bring the camera up front and deleted the pictures myself.
i was upset because i was topless and had my legs spread. i highly doubt she'll post it on the internet, if she even kept the video i bet she just showed it to her friends for giggles then she'l delete it when she needs space.

There should be a BIG sign at the door, "No cameras allowed". This kind of shit happens quite often and it's annoying as fuck. Wish some ppl would have some damn respect.

^^^ agreed that clubowners should post notices to the effect of 'no cameras / recordings allowed'. Without such a notice, and given that strip clubs are actually considered to be 'public places' from a legal standpoint, and also given that strip club stage performances do NOT have the same level of legal standing as a 'legitimate' live artistic production ( ex. a Broadway Show), there remains some question as to whether dancers actually have any legal right to prevent recordings inside the club or prevent non-profit 'fair use' of such recordings outside the club.

"By entering this club you have given permission to have your phone and camera taken if spotted taking images and will not be returned." I really now wish I remember which club had this sign up...
