I want one too! I know the ebenk tripod automatic tripod head pans and tilts with a remote (minnie gave me that info) but when I found it on Amazon it was sold out, and I haven't been able to find another. I don't think it zooms though. I, too, want one that does all three. I see girls who have that on MFC and SM and I feel you... it's awesome! Please post here if you find it. I'm willing to pay big bucks for one. Wise investment.

If you get a LANC (that right?) camcorder then you can connect it to a motorpod lanc and one remote control will work all the pan/tilt and zoom functions. I actually have two remote controls because I have a regular camcorder (which came with a remote control which I use for zoom - search on amazon for camcorder and remote) and a controller for my motorpod (same thing as ebenk just different manufacturer)
It's definitely a cool thing to have - I plan on changing to a one remote set up just as soon as the purse allows![]()
mmm yea i need a cam like this also but it's like 1grand! where can i find this kind of cam? i have a camcorder but it uses tapes small ones
I use a logitech webcam, so when I'm in a show and want to do zoom/pan/tilt i keep the webcam software open on my desktop and i use my ipod touch app called air mouse... so i can use my ipod as a wireless mouse/keyboard and just use that as a remote to use my webcam. It's not as awesome as having a webcam with a remote that you can actually just hold in your hand and do what you want to do- but it's a nice alternative.

I have posted about this many times of what camera I use and yes it has a remote control pan and tilt.
I don't know why things are just being repeated like 100s times a week.

You can have a dual set up - buy a camcorder that does zoom, and then stick it on top of ebenk or trackerpod/motorpod/powerpod
If you want a video camera that does pan and tilt without any additional kit then I think the evi is the only one to get (think cannon has something similar but not sure of quality)

Ebenk pan tilts and zooms with the cameras that are sony, panosonic and cannon. ( I use it with my sony video cameras the features works with the ebenk remote control with no problem have had it for 4 years)
Trackcam for video cameras works with certain video camera models.
why am I always repeating myself

did you even read this.
It seems like they are harder to find.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Remote-Pan-Tilt-...ripodsSupports
and it seems like trackercam would be your last option , and so what if you have to use 2 remote controls.

Since it is my desire to have one remote, I intend to find it if it is available. I made this post in hopes to find it. If it out there, then no harm in asking. WHO knows, maybe someone will land on this post who knows of such a product.
I appreciate you suggestions Minnie, i do know the products you mentioned, one is not wireless, but very good for non-wireless option! The link to the ebenk manual was priceless, i wasn't able to find that, thank you!
Non Wireless Hague Modified (this one does 360) Motorized Pan/Tilt head:
Manual / Sales to Ebenk motorized tripod.
.
Trackerpod informed me that we can use the Gyration Air Mouse to operate The IR-Pod from Trackerpod. They told me they have tested this remote with their product. It would replace their remote for Pan/Tilt, as well as control the zoom via the computer with the airmouse.
AIR MOUSE
I was misinformed by a distributor, posing as manufacture, (i even called them) that the ebenk was discontinued, and I apologize. I want to post the most accurate and detailed info.
Later
Katie

OK you know thiis is annoying me cause I own the ebenk remote control pan and tilt head and what bugs me is that you claim it does not have the features you want when it does.I appreciate you suggestions Minnie, i do know the products you mentioned, one is not wireless, but very good for non-wireless option! The link to the ebenk manual was priceless, i wasn't able to find that, thank you!
EBenk Automatic Remote control pan and tilt head.
pan and tilt head means that is can be mounted on a tripod or you can have it sit on any flat surface.
comes with a remote control with the features of zoom, pan and tilt, display on/off, wired or wireless
it takes 4 - AA batteries if your caming for long periods of time you will be using alot of batteries it comes with a remote censor booster and it is compatible with sony v ideo cameras, panosonic or cannon.
I use it with my sony HD bloggie and SONY HC62 for over 2 years ! I have it on the AC adapter because the batteries die after 6 hours.
it was purchased on ebay for about $180 USD

More specifically, i don't know how the ebenk will zoom or connect with the new HD Camcorders... Umm, i don't think what I am looking for is out there, except with HD Video conferencing (too much money and overkill)
While searching for a good HD Camcorder, i have found out the new ones are not made for streaming like the one a few years ago. Most don't have firewire and don't have streaming via usb. The computer only recognize the camcorder when connected as a hard drive. SO, if you want to get a new HD camcorder that streams be very very careful what you buy. I have done a lot of research to find a cam that does all that I want. Which is a HD pan/tilt/zoom option with one remote that I can do HD video also. Why, because that is what i want. If I gotta pay 600 for a HD cam with streaming capability then I have a few other options... The closest I have found are security cams / web conferencing cams on ebay etc. The older cams that work with the ebank are don't appear to be HD and not what I was looking for. But the ebank is a great unit for those with the older digital camcorders that are compatable. It just isn't the HD I was looking for.
I am currently looking into the Sony EVI-D70, (upgrade from the Sony EVI-D30) they are goin for around $350 on ebay auctions.
There is also D-Link
Another is by Axis.
I have not tried these models yet, If anyone has anymore input on them, go for it!!!
I might just get that gyration in-air mouse for controling the pan/tilt/zoom and try a logitech orbit webcam, hmmm , might work HEHE. and very cheap. THen I can go get that HD camcorder and won't care about the streaming video from it!!! I just hope it can zoom in to heaven. hehe

I'm also really confused about HD camcorder streaming. When I went to the store to look for an upgrade to my normal camcorder I was told that none of them could do what I want as they didn't have firewire. If you connect via a capture card will that work on a S-video connection? Argh... it's so confusing. Don't want to spend $$$ and not be able to use it for what I want.
S-Vid is an analog signal. Won't carry any HD. you need firewire period if you want to do hi-def. Firewire is bi-directional so its faster than USB , and usb streaming cams are limitted to 320x240, 640x480 resolution in most cases. ALSO , the one that Minnie mentioned earlier does HD video, sony HD bloggie, but i don't think it zooms and has its limits depending on what you want to use it for.
Basically, we are not able to stream with the decent HD camcorders under 800 give or take, since the computer recognizes the camera as a hard drive. A drive that saves info, then transfers it to the computer when you go to upload. Hope that clears up the challange a little bit. I have been posting and reading the same questions on the ustream forum. So far, the best advice for a good HD cam that streams is a Canon VIXIA HV40 around 600 plus on ebay.
THIS totally sucks for us. BUT, maybe next year. I know there is a new HD cam coming out this fall around 500 that will stream, but it is still limited and for that kind of money, geez, give us full HD. I will post as soon as i have decided what I like best. I am probably going to get the Sony EVI d70 this week. I will report back to let ya know how the picture compares.
As for the capture card....
If you need to transfer video from your camcorder to computer or stream older analog / or digital camcorders
with a dazzle video capture/transfer unit. guys at bestbuy know a lot about these if you have questions.

Thanks hun for saving me from a migrain

You need to buy this product or a similar product to connect ANY video camera even HD cameras to it.
if you want an HD camera to connect using a remote control pan and tilt using Ebenk you need to make sure that camera is a cannon, sony or panosonic.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE AN HD CAMERA FOR WEBCAMMING IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY
if you have a good lighting set up and a miniDV video camera and connect via using one pinncales products you cam viewers will not know it's HD
alot of websites have the HD software so buying a HD video camera is a waste of money.
until the price of HD cameras drop I will not be changing my video camera that I have the HC62 for anything.
what is the point of having a HD video camera if your going to have shit lighting.
spend about 500$ max on your video camera, and about $180 on the ebenk automatic remote pan and tilt head. and spend about $200 on your lighting set up.
then you need about $300 to $500 on your computer set up.
