So my club makes you blow before they hand you your keys. I was wondering is there anyway to get the alcohol out your system within a few hours?

Nope. You can't fool a breathalizer.
Try not drinking, or ordering non-alcoholic drinks.

I know of a number of clubs that force the girls to eat, drink a ton of water, & do walking "laps" around the club to sort of burn off the alcohol before they let them drive home. You might want to buy yourself a breathalizer & try doing this on your own.

Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

They usually talk about this in Driver's Ed and driving handbooks. There is no way to lower your BAC or make alcohol "leave your bloodstream faster". There are certain myths that are perpetuated (such as drinking coffee and taking a cold shower) but those serve merely to make you feel more "alert", not to actually make you less drunk physically.

I WISH my clubs would have done that!
Wouldn't be in the situation I'm in now. :/
Nope.
Just don't drink so much at work, and don't drink for the last few hours of the shift. There's no reason to get shitty at work. It's a job, not a party (although it can be a FUN job). Order fake drinks or sneakily pour the drinks out on the carpet if you don't want to reject the offer for alcohol, but know you won't be OK to drive if you keep drinking.
If you're over the limit, just take a cab home or use a driving service that brings you and your car home (if you have one in your area). If getting home without your car is an issue, don't drink so much.

Get your head bashed into a wall by a bouncer. Sorry, but had this happen to me this week and it REALLY sobered be up fast.![]()

I still don't get the whole drinking on the job thing. Doctors don't drink at work why should dancers? It's a damn job not a party (lifestyle).
Be smart and just don't drink (This is what I do and it works wonders for me)
So if you don't drink, what was the question for? Or are you considering drinking to compete with the outgoing nature of the other girls?
I think being quiet and shy may make you stick outOf course, I'm sure you can still approach customers, you just aren't as blunt or loud. That's not necessarily a bad thing. You have hotness in spades

You shouldn't try to trick it cause it's basically helping you prevent a DUI or worse. I think that breathalizer thing is an amazing idea.

If you haven't had a drink in that long, why start now? Why start at work?
Trust me, it ISN'T worth it getting drunk and then driving from work. (or even just drinking...)
I still think it's okay to have a drink or 2 to "loosen up", but know your limits.
If you do have a drink, make sure it's at the start of your shift.
I think the breathalizer is a great idea! It shows your club cares.
An average person can eliminate 0.5 oz of alcohol per hour. So, it would take approximately one hour to eliminate the alcohol from a 12 oz can of beer.
Your body absorbs alcohol faster than it can eliminate it. There really isn't a way to "get rid" of it. Time is the only thing.....
There's ways to "sober up", but it still won't cheat a breathalizer.
Trust me, from experience, it is a GOOD thing your club has it. It IS possible to work sober.
Good luck!
xoxo

learn to work past the quiet and shy. don't drink.
you can't fool the test.
Trust me, in the long run, if you work on your skills, you'll do better and be healthier than the girls getting trashed every night.

lol thanks and yeh. you know they are all knocking back shots and stuff. always grabbing on the customers and i don't do any of that. I may lighty touch his arm or leg, but that's about it. Yea your right, but a l ot of men i sit down and have a conversation with start asking me how did i get into this job because i seem too sweet.![]()
i'm working the quiet/shy personality. I don't ever drink at work nor do I feel as though I need to. I'm 20 so guys love the shyness.. esp. older men. Makes you come across more innocent =)
Drink water. BAC is blood alcohol concentration. If you have a larger volume of blood, then the concentration of alcohol will be lower. You have about 4 or 5 pints of blood, so if you drink a pint of water, you can lower your BAC by 20-25% between the time it gets completely absorbed by your stomach and the time it gets processed by your kidneys. Granted, this isn't a huge difference, and the window is only about 15 minutes. Not that I'm condoning drinking and driving, but there's your answer.
Its time. That's what we learned in alc ed was the only way to lose the alcohol was Time. And H20 helps the process, but the solution here is simply to forgo the drinking. I used to drink and dance but now I tend to do the latter and not the former anymore, and I never drink then drive under any amount or circumstance...just my adapted, evolved policy. Plus I like to be sober and 100% aware when workingand focus on the $$$$$$
