    Default Elven Ears?

So I've wanted elf ears forever. And I just saw that they have a surgery to get it done. I have perfectly normal little cute ears, so I have a hard time justifying getting surgery to do this. But boy is it tempting. I have long bone straight red hair and I'm very slender and pale, so I could totally pull off the elf look. Has anyone done this or know anyone who's done it?

I'm going to suggest not doing this yet. It's not common & its a gamble on how it will effect you money with work. Have you tried doing the latex ones before? They seem like a better solution since they are temporary & you could take them off when you don't want them.

If anything I would say try working 2-3 months straight with the latex before doing this as a permanent change. By that time if customers consider it a "novelty" factor you'll be able to tell how much the "novelty" factor wears off & how it really would effect your money.

BMEzine.com has information on radical surgeries such as this. I won't say don't do it, but definitely take the time to think it through. I have friends with split tongues and all kinds of crazy implants, dermals, and surface piercings. I choose not to go that far right now... at least until I have some decent success at what I'm doing and I feel comfortable. Then maybe a cute dermal piercing!

The upside to this is it is pretty subtle AND it can be covered with your hair.

Honestly, I really wanna do it, but I don't think I will. I've had several ear cartilage piercings and they never healed. I've got really poor circulation in my ears. That would make healing from this surgery iffy at best.

I think you should have some really pretty custom ones made out of latex still. Plus, if your holes didn't heal the latex could probably be made to cover those up. :-)

I have known two people that had natually pointy elven ears, they were absolutely incredibly. Short ears, general ear size so not overly tall ears, just very elven shaped.

My natural ears stick out a little in an elfish way. I hate them! But it's nice to know that some people actually like em.

Oh yeah I think they are bloody adorable! I was sooooo envious of her. Also of a friend that had naturaly longer and sharper canines. They look like vampire fangs. Amazing *pout*.
