    Default Culture of tipping

It seems to be that in black clubs or clubs filled with predominatly black people stage tipping goes as follows: We like what we see we tip.... Throw some ones, stuff them in a garter... Whatever. Whereas in mostly white clubs, customers want you to DO something special for them for thier dollar i.e, dollar in the mouth, on forehead, etc. They hold the dollar in front of you some sort of incentive to do more. I wonder why that is

When I see a customer doing that shit I just grab the dollar with my hand and throw it on stage. Usually it gets a rise out of them and they end up tipping more but seriously, it's a dollar dude.

I HATE that! When someone wants something special for a DOLLAR. I always love when someone comes up to the stage and throws a bunch of money because it always makes those other guys look lame.

I agree. Why is that? Black guys seem to be much more generous tipping even if they do like excessive booty shaking lol. White guys want you to put your shit all in their face and then finally give you ONE DOLLAR. UGH.

well, aren't black clubs basically stage clubs? that's the perception that i've always gotten. the stage money is great, and you can get tipped dollars by custies when you talk to them, but they don't like dances. i've had groups of blacks buy dances from me for the girl who's birthday or whatever it was. and they'd always pay for it in ones. like, strippers love ones. it makes counting easy. i don't have the math skills to count 20s.

This amuses me a lot because I always tell people "I can only count in $20s, $50s & $100s". I'm being facetious of course, but it usually makes them laugh & gets me extra tips.

Most are stage clubs but even if a girl is doing lapdances they will pay her the lap dance price then tip ones on top of that. I prefer larger bills but a tip is a tip so I wouldn't complain. When I am doing dances most black customers always tip ones on top of the lap dance price and white customers do not. Just an observation

yeah we have $2 tipping dollars and have people wave it at me like its a tiffanys gift box. its fuckin two dollars.
"if you get naked right away i give you all this [raises $4]"

really, you can buy a cheeseburger from maccas with that what makes you think a naked girl in your face is the same price?

For me I find the opposite. Black guys that came to my club were avoided like the plague because every girl that sat down with them would end up being stuck there without getting paid, and getting talked up and led on that they would be "taken care of" but in the end they'd be lucky if they got a single $1.

Black guys almost never tipped at my club.

^^ most people in any service job avoid black people like the plague because of the stereotype that they R not good tippers. But that said, no stripper is ever "stuck" anywhere. If u sit with a customer of any race and don't get paid, that's on you.

I don't see why black guys are the only ones getting a bad rap. It's everybody these days that are cheap as hell and don't tip and no I'm not going down the list of ethnicities.

Let us not forget to include everyone in this conversation of cheapos. They come in all shapes, sizes, and races.

Agreed. There are too many variables out there, which makes these classifications a waste.

I've danced at both black and white clubs. Black guys like dances as much as any other guy. They do make it rain more often than not because that is the thing to do, and they like the attention from everyone in the club when they do it. Other men may not tip at the stage but will buy dances and some tip well on top of that.

I have rarely seen a white guy throw money up in the air, and when I did see it he was a younger guy. Another time a black guy came up to me on stage and gave me a hundred dollars in ones- all stacked together. He just set it down on the stage, smiled and walked away. I had no idea how much it was until I picked it up.

Black AND white guys play that dollar crap also, whether it is waving it around or trying to shove it in somewhere. I hate that shit. Gentleman and douchebags come in all shades.

^ to be fair, a lot of businessmen don't have as much as they seem to. or at least not as much available. they have mortgages and cars and private schools and all kinds of crap to pay for. there are a lot of people who want to look like they're loaded when they're really living paycheck to paycheck. back in the day, these guys would use credit cards, but now their wifes have gotten on the suze ormann shit and watch the credit card bills like hawks.

I love the guys who make it rain. For me its usually young guys regardless of color bc of the culture today(how many rap songs in the past 5 years are about "making it rain"....?).

I find that Ive been making more $$ with young guys when i put on a good stage show bc a lot will come up and ask me to dance when i get off. Older guys rarely tip more than a few $$ on stage for me and i feel like i have to hustle them harder, but then they will spend more or are more likely to get a champagne room.
