    Default Ok who wears weave....

Do any of you wash your scalp, even with braids and (sew in) weave? Im scared my braids will come out and that all the shampoo wont rinse, and that it wont dry all the way, so I always wash the length of my hair, as close to my scalp as possible... But I really wanna wash my head!!!

I think they make a spray wash stuff specifically for people with weave. Might wanna ask someone at the beauty store about it.

Thumbs up Re: Ok who wears weave....

hello!!! the best thing for you to do is when you go to co-wash your hair, dilute your shampoo with water and scrub in between the braids. if you dont dilute it, the shampoo will cake up in your hair and it will be difficult to take out. do the same with your conditioner. if you have human hair extensions, be sure to wash and condition them as well but when you are applying it to the extensions, dont wash with a circular motion, that will mat the hair. just comb thru with your hands and you should be good mami!!! just go to youtube and type in "extensions" or "sew-in co-washing"

If the weave is done right, nothing is gonna happen. When I have one in, I still wash my hair, but like 2 times a week. Be careful to really rinse it out and dry well right where the braids are.

I have never had a weave, however I just found this stuff to help wash your hair "without" literally washing it. I use it on my kids inbetween washes. This stuff smells GOOD! Worth a try???
