Why is it that Bin Laden could never be found, but instead Bush went after Saddam Hussein (who had nothing to do with 9/11)? Because I've long thought that he was in cahoots with Bush to begin with and Bush knew where he was. I've read many things that 9/11 was planned so that Bush could pass through the Patriot Act. Conspiracy or coincidence? I don't know but hope it wasn't planned. Bush was business partners with the Bin Ladens and they left USA right after 9/11
Btw, I never understood why Castro was more hated than many other world leaders. So what if he's Communist? To me he was less scary than the neo cons and certainly China.

Normally I'm not into conspiracy theories but Bush and Cheney did a lot of shady underhanded things. Hussein was cooperating but Iraq got invaded anyway. I knew they were full of it when Condoleeza Rice would insist on tv that Hussein was an imminent threat. She acted like if we didn't invade them right away, that they might nuke us. I used to feel really bad when I'd see the list of young soldiers that died every week. There was also that whole dishonest thing they did to make Jessica Lynch look like a hero for propaganda. That turned out to be another lie. I don't know why it took people so long to realize he lied about everything and was up to no good. I figured it out pretty fast when they started the unnecessary war and millions of dollars were unaccounted for there. Now we've got Obama who does not seem to care what happens and is always on vacation like Bush was.

I knew Iraq was a bad idea, but was called "unpatriotic" when I said it was a bad idea and had nothing to do with anything. It was a way for Cheney to get richer with oil. I heard stupid stories about Hussein being involved with Al Queda but knew that would never makes sense since he was a secular ruler and Al Queda has tried to kill him! I've come to the conclusion that neither party cares. I voted for Obama but am disappointed in him. He should be fixing the economy but isn't, and in fact Geitner has assured India the USA won't go after American companies that outsourced. He should have fixed that problem before the healthcare fiasco. Bush started it all (rather, his cronies because I don't think he's that smart). His administration ruined the economy and we are paying the price. The two wars have almost bankrupted this country. I've always thought that those in power were trying to make the average American stupid by not having important things in the media and instead items like reality tv.

I hoped that when we had a new president that things would change. I would have rather had Biden or Hillary as president. Obama never did anything in Illinois but campagne. Biden may have his gaffes but he was easily the most qualified person running. Hillary was one of the only people running that talked about handling offshoring and she doesn't get bulldozed like Obama. Castro isn't too popular because of the missiles crisis. It would make sense to forget about that now since Russia is no longer a threat. Nobody talks about anything real in the media. I've sent emails to media about offshoring and they won't touch that. Instead they'll spend days talking about the mosque. I thing we're in for some big problems after the fall elections. Then they're going to tell us things were a lot worse than they thought. Double dip and many more layoffs are on the way.

I mentioned it in another thread but I am boycotting NBC because of their new "comedy" Outsourced. It's bad enough we are in a recession they are dding salt to the wound. I don't like either party, but I fear people will elect pro outsourcing politicians and it'll get even worse. People are stupid.

I think Obama is really trying to fix things but is running into obstruction at every level from the Republicans. Right now he is trying to get a bill passed to get funds to small business and that is running into the usual stonewall opposition as well. As for fixing the economy- I think he and his advisors realized that health care was directly related to the economy and had to be dealt with for it to improve. 2/3 of the bankrupcies and a large number of foreclosures are related to people having an illness, getting no, partial or insufficient payout from their HMO to cover expenses and getting dropped as well as being able to get coverage from another company. The result being bankruptcy and often foreclosure. This is an extremely large drain on the economy and was happenning hundreds of thousands of times.

I've thought the Bush administration had something to do with 9/11 for quite some years now. At least they knew in advance of the attack and did nothing to prevent it.
Iraq was very obviously bullshit from day one, but no-one wanted to hear that.

No one wants to start any criminal investigations of Bush, Cheney, war crimes etc. because Democrats and Republicans are all complicit. It's funny how some of Bush's administration are afraid to leave the country because they may be indicted for war crimes. The thing I found curious about Sept 11 was the planning was so detailed and the scope was very large. It was like a commando operation. The Al Quaeda usually does much smaller acts. To me it seemed they were getting training or military advice on how to carry it out.

I agree. I think the Republicans are scared more than anything that he will succeed. I think that is why they are fighting tooth and nail to stop every single thing he tries to do. It would be best if they would support him or at the least get out of the way and see what happened with his policies. This way if they worked we would all benefit and if they failed they could completely take over, undue any of his stuff they disagreed with and there would be very little opposition.
1. Sacrificing civilian lives to promote a military agenda has been routine in the past (ie. the Lusitania)
2. When a country is severely in debt, going out and robbing another country is standard procedure

Castro is unpopular because his regime financed Communist rebel groups or supplied arms around the world for cash. Castro and his buddy Che have caused a lot of mayhem world wide, including their foray in Angola.
Russia is still a very credible threat and President for Life (lets be real) Vladmir Putin (former KGB Chief) is diverting development money to the Russian Armed forces. The Russians have begun sending bombers again to challenge US and Canadian air space in the last few months. Putin has declared most of the Arctic ocean belongs to Russia for the oil. Russian submarines have begun stalking British and French submarines in the north sea.
The cold war started again, now financed with European money buying Russian oil and natural gas.
