    Default Tan vs Natural

I am auditioning at a local club in a couple of weeks. I have never stripped (publicly haha) before.

I am a little uncomfortable with my weight but my friend who works there has assured me the club is cool with dancers wearing bustiers and that a lot of the guys prefer "curvy" girls at this club. She is around a size 6-8 and sometimes the customers tell her she's too skinny.

So I'm not too worried about that but now my biggest concern other than getting over the jitters and shyness is that I am naturally rather pale. It's a creamy pale and I have a good complexion but I am wondering if I should do a fake tan or a glow before I audition?

My friend says it actually might give me a bit of an edge because I've recently gone with red hair and she thinks my creamy complexion might make me stand out a bit; but I've never seen a pale stripper!

What do you guys think? Glow or no glow?

No glow babe. If you feel better with a little bronzy-ness, then try a self tanner like Jergens that will give you some color gradually.

I'm a 'big girl' for working at a strip club - size 10 - and I do really well. I'm also SUPER pale. ATM I am tanning, but its for personal reasons, not for work. The dark lights will make your fair skin look ethereal, you'll stand out. Tanning really doesn't matter and won't be noticeable in the club. Good luck!

I prefer pale.... We have girls who tan in clubs but under the light and on stage, their skin tones all look the same. When a paler girl goes on stage it looks different and there is more to see. I am pale but I do tan sometimes for hiding strech marks, veins or such. I wouldnt do fake tans eithers,,, those are just gah. Go natural and if you think you need a tan after then go for it

Thanks guys! I think I'll go natural and maybe do the Jergens glow--I'm also a size 10 so I'm glad to hear we're out there! It makes me feel much more comfortable with the audition.

I say stay natural. If you say you have great skin why not?! My sister used to own a club/dance, and she herself was pale. (She did really well.) Guys want women in all shades and sizes. PLUS!! If you pay attention to current trends....pale is in. My advice is to do a bit of bronzer just to highlight you muscles and curves. But, with red hair and pale skin you have something special. Good luck honey!!!

It doesn't matter as long as you don't look like a slob. Do your hair, makeup and don't wear crap. Personally, I tan.

The only time I ever tan is for special events. It's simply not worth the money most of the time. Strip & Grow Rich (www.StripandGrowRich) talks about this as the "Tanning Factor"... which they refer to for most anything but the point is you don't want to spend more money on something that what it will reap you in rewards. Tanning won't effect your money most of the time.

The ONLY time I really tan is when I know I'm going to an event with a bunch of photographers because often many of them don't know how to control their flashes & I end up looking like a ghost from too much flash.

Definitely don't tan. Guys looove women with pale skin. Unless you're going for the full-on sexpot, beachy, strippertastic look, don't even try. Lots of girls bank off of that white, glowy look in club lighting.

I used to think I should tan, but it made no difference in my earnings. I get compliments all of the time on my pale skin, even though it makes bruises/scratches more obvious.

Just make sure you choose outfits that don't wash you out! I'd stay away from blacks and whites. Stick with bright colors.

Yeah, some guys LOVE the pale skin. And, TBH, tan skin does not look good with red hair. Trust me on this one, red head here!!

(Sometimes in this sunshine I accidentally tan and have to bathe in lemon juice.)

If you don't see any girls in your area dancing with pale skin, all the better! Bank off of that untapped market!!

Im going against the grain and saying tan here. Im very pale naturally which I think looks great in real life but in the club a tan hides a lot and makes you feel more toned. If you get an airbrushed one just ask for a light tan. Or st. tropez mousse is really subtle and nice too.

if you have red hair tan mayb not the best thing for you unless you go super light shades. i have naturally olive skin and when i had red hair it looked kinda odd. unless you go dark dark red.
i never tan though. wish there was something out there i could apply to look more pale

Second. I'm going against the societal grain here by saying, well, I think tans look kind of gross. The thought that you're just covered in dead, roasted skin . . . that's just kind of gross.

And, TJ, 15 of sunshine once every 1-2 weeks on your hands and face is enough to supply you with your needed V-D! /TJ

Being tan also gives the appearance of more muscle tone....hence the reason body builders spraypaint themselves before a show.

tan is nice but not with red hair. And there's nothing more unattractive than an obviously fake, orange tan.

Well, I have to beg to differ on one thing-I have dyed dark red hair, and I use self-tanner (I don't get too dark though). But I promise, it looks really good! Maybe because I have a naturally warmer skin tone. I look much better with a little bit of color, and I think MOST people do. But, if you've embraced the pale, more power to ya

Pale pale pale! To quote p-bunny "Sunlight is evil" I love pale girls. I've seen too many oompa loompas walking around lately.

The nice thing about men is that they tend to be less picky than the wemenz.

As long as you look hot, they will pay you.

try without a tan. if you have a lot of guys compliment you on your skin AND spend a lot of money on you (compliments alone don't count. they are free), stay pale. otherwise, try a fake tanner. if fake tanner makes money, try getting a real tan. everyone hates on real tans, but you'd feel damn awkward with white spots where clothes have rubbed on you.

it depends so much on the girl. i was super pale when i first started, and i look bad pale. i've got a dun complexion. dun= brownish/greyish. tanning makes me look healthy and vibrant. other girls have such pretty pale complexions that they can bank on it.

I think redheads look weird w/ fake tans, most of the time. In fact I think lots of strippers tan way too much.

I'm Latin/Mediterranean & naturally tanned & when I see white girls who are way artificially darker than me it just looks bizarre. Just like Latin girls who are way too blonde. It just looks "off" to me.

I work with a girl w/ a creamy complexion and dark dyed red hair. She does fake eyelashes and smokey eyes and looks fab.
