No.. is that a really ridiculous question? I want a tank top with low sides but whenever I search that just normal tank tops come up and I dont think theyre really popular here (uk) as I havent seen any like that in the shops so I wondered if it had a specific name...how is that funny? unless im missing something really obvious then sorry lol

To me, it just looks like a large beer t-shirt that she's ripped the sleeves out of.

I know what you are saying. That is probably the most hilarious example you could find.

    Urban Outfitters-SWING TANK

    or...

    High/Low Tank

I actually think that look is cute, but not on me. It is SOOOO funny because that is a Miller Lite tshirt cut up! Cutting up a tshirt to look like that is VERY easy.

Over here that look is kinda considered to be uh, not to be offensive, but it's kinda trailer park. I think that's why some found it humorous. I actually wondered if you were joking till I read through the thread.
"I hear you calling and it's needles and pins. I wanna hurt you just to hear you screaming my name...You're poision. but I don't wanna break these chains.... I wanna love you but I'd better not touch."

ohh i see haha I actually like it but each to their own it might be cause its not that common over here so its not linked to be trashy as such..thanks for explaning i thought people were just being rude

I found some better examples lol and thanks for the links but they just take me to the urban outfitters home page. Is it? I know you could cut the sleeves off t shirts but I thought that would just look exactly like you had cut the sleeves off a t-shirt and quite cheap or is there a diff way?

Yeah, just try a top you don't really like.
It's like when I cut old jeans into shorts, they look weird at first. Then I wash them and they get the "frayed" edges. Maybe washing the top after cutting it?
Also, maybe don't cut all the way around, just cut and then rip it so it's not all jagged.

ohhh...and I REALLY like the new examples!
although, I kinda really liked the "trashy/trailer" park look too.
    TRAILER TREASURE BABY!

but yeah..lol...the first pic is super cute! I think I'm gonna try that on some old tops too.

OPEN SIDE Racerback TOP is what I searched. There isn't much, but keep fiddling with the words and search google shopping. This one is the best!

I know exactly where you could get them here in Australia... General pants, sportsgirl, but dont think they have stores over there.
