    Dizzy Quick Question! Macintosh

Does any of you girls use a Mac? I'm registered in a bunch of sites, and I would like to host simultaneously on a couple of them, but I can't find a decent splitcam software for Mac. I don't mid if I have to pay for it.

It's so frustrating! My boyfriend bought me a fancy Mac so i could start camming (our old Mac was Paleolithic!) and now there's a bunch of stuff I can't do with it! I feel so guilty... I feel guilty too because I have to keep switching sites... Sometimes I'm on one site, it's getting slow and I decide to log on another one, then I have to waste my time logging off, on back again... And I always keep wondering if the other site from which I've just logged off hasn't picked up! It's distracting and I waste a lot of time, and probably, money!

I know nothing of MACintoshes (lol) so my post is virtually worthless. but thanks for the laugh that you probably didnt mean to give me =)

LOL I'm argentinian (well, not living in Argentina right now) and here we still say Macintosh!!! Maybe because saying "Mac" in spanish people would confuse it with McDonalds or something...

Thank you Bella and compliments on your site, it is absolutely fantastic! Did you design it yourself?

I'm downloading CamTwist now! I use a Logitech 9000 for Mac, I think it should work. I'm also a die hard Mac fan, people are always telling me to get Parallels and it is so annoying! I think the last Windows version I used was 3.1! lol

Since we're on topic about Mac's I'm trying to get new webcam for Mac.

I'm wondering if anyone uses Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac ?

This is the next webcam want to get and read several reviews about it on Amazon.com one person in the review said that it won't work if using it for webcam chat site. I'm not sure if this person have flash install as the reason why can't use it or just still don't work with flash install.

I'm curious if anyone able to use this webcam while camming ?

I've been for now just using i-sight but want to which to Logitech.

I wish MFC made it available to Mac users and not require Parallel right now can't afford to get it plus Windows software.

I wrote this in similar post about Mac and got no response hopes someone that uses a Mac tried Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac and can tell me if really true it won't work on camsite or it can still work out. Thanks for any possible feedback about the cam if anyone uses it

I have used it with a mac. Do you have the logitech 9000 selected when you add webcam in camtwist?

So Video Sources -> Webcam and then it should give you a drop down menu in the settings section. Choose the logitech cam.

Then go to tools on the Camtwist nav menu and select preview. It will bring up a preview box so you can check it is the right camera and play with your colour settings if you want.

Then when you are on a site you have to select camtwist from the flash settings, not your logitech cam.

Let me know if that helps

You will be able to use it for camming on all sites except MFC. But you can use the pro 9000 also. Logitech doesn't provide software for mac so both cameras are just plug & play. That kind of sucks because the picture quality sometimes sucks and you can't adjust it.

However I did notice that the quality improved when the flash media encoder brought out their mac version and I used the logitech cam through the FME in mac.

And let me say that although I'm a mac fan girl I frakking hate the i-sight. They need to just remove it because it causes endless problems and the quality can't compare with other cams out there.

Thanks! Yes, I designed it myself after using designers who were just idiots and a waste of money. There is a reason why designs in mainstream charge so much, they are actually brilliant & have good customer service. The adult industry is where most web designers go when they fail. #realtalk

However, I'm not good at graphic design and I don't think I'll ever be. But I subscribe to the KISS principle. Keep it simple stupid! We don't need fancy PSD graphic text that search engines can't read and look cheesy.

I use wordpress for my tour but I bought the developers license for thesis from http://diythemes.com/. It basically simplifies wordpress for you so you can have a good looking site up and running faster than if you used a crappy free theme.

1.8 also comes with amazing seo features, google fonts (oh yeah!) and they've made it super easy to insert your header image & keep the <h1> seo benefits. Once you buy the license you can log on to the forums and there are tons of tutorials that will take you through how to do things step by step. And they are super helpful if you have a question and get stuck.

I'm switching my members area over to wordpress also because I want to be entirely self-sufficient and keep up with trends in mobile and html5 which cost extra with my current CMS.

I can't recommend wordpress & the thesis theme enough. Chris Pearson (the developer of thesis) is also a typography geek and his sites just look good even if you stick with the most basic options. I <3 typography & think it plays an important role in keeping people on your page. So I appreciate how he knows all these mathematical theories about how to use typeface and it is all built in!

But yeah I'm still learning and it takes me SO long to do everything and I spend most nights screaming at the computer

Gosh! I can't thank you enough! After more that a year trying to figure out a way to stream to more than one site (if you type "splitcam for mac", "camsplitter" for mac or the like on google you get nothing) I finally did it!

But strangely, the 2.1 version of this link you provided didn't work... I downloaded an older version and it works like a charm!

And there's a cool effect that makes you look just like that A-Ha videoclip for Take on me! Hope I get an A-Ha fan and can make a show using that... That would b so sexy! lol

Evocam looked like it had so many great features but it wasn't user friendly so I gave up on it. Maybe I'll try again when I add spy cams to my site because it seemed good for that.

Manycam didn't play nicely with my other programs on mac. For example, I still take pics sometimes with my ipevo using the ipevo software and manycam would come up there even though it wasn't selected. Same deal with skype. I uninstalled it a few times and there was a file somewhere buried.

But I love it in windows when I'm on MFC.

Thank you so much for getting back at me about this Logitech model and it can still work on some camsites. I agree about i-sight years ago around 2003 I had logitech for back when had Windows and it was ok quality and it supports Mac but have problems it shuts off without me turning it off. I also just know it's time to get webcam more up to date with better features.

Aah, i'm glad I came over to the forums here... I could of NEVER found a single person, who had a MAC on the site i worked on... Asked, for help in the (forums, there but no one was really helpful). So, anyways I installed CamTwist on my MAC and it works BETTER than EVO-Cam & ManyCam... The problem, for me is that as one quote here earlier about EVO-Cam is that its really not user friendly, & i couldnt find a way to operate it for splitcam use. Manycam, (uses to much CPU) when i tried to use it in conjunction with iFRIENDS it would knock out my ability to be displayed in (HQ) which is determined from your net connection & webcam, at the same-time when I would try to broadcast live from another site.

But not this program here, nah uh I can be displayed greatly at the sametime in both HQ form & HD and it won't knock it OUT once!

Thanks, for sharing this so much!
