I worked a few clubs that didn't have a locker and the dressing room was usually the bathroom. What I did at some of these clubs was wear my outfit underneath and keep most of my stuff in the car. A few clubs I trusted the bartender or bouncer so I would ask them to hold my stuff (and I collected it after work). Another time where I worked at a club where I had to have lots of changes, I brought a suitcase with a lock. I've always been paranoid and NEVER kept stuff at a club, even clubs with lockers where you could keep things.

I kept my stuff behind the bar when I worked at a crummy club with mostly broken lockers. I honestly don't know what I'd do if there were NO lockers and I didn't know barstaff or a DJ to trust with that ... maybe just get a lock for my bag and keep most everything in truck of my car.

I take a shitty-looking gym bag to work that ONLY has my absolute necessities in it. Shoes, outfit, work purse, car keys, cell phone. We have cameras in the dressing room so I'm not really afraid something will get stolen.

    I have a great hardtop suitcase. It locks and is really hard to break into. Someone could walk out with the whole bag, but that hasn't happened yet. {Knocks on wood.}

This is the best solution I have found:
    http://www.overstock.com/Luggage-Bag...1/product.html

I use the smallest suitcase in this set, the small upright. I have used it for 3 years and it is still going strong, so it is well made. It is the only suitcase I could find that has no zipper or place where some one could cut into the bag.

The camera makes you feel better? The one club I worked in with a camera in the DR just seemed to make theft more dramatic, but never seemed to catch anyone in the act of ANYTHING. Besides one drunk girl peeing over the trash can .. They allegedly never saw theft happen, but they would spend hours "going over the video" and we were always on the edge of our seats even though nothing ever came of it.

^ Well, if something got stolen, they could go back and look at the tape to see who it was.

Yeah you would think, but it never worked that way. I think it could have been very easy, but they never let us see the videos, so I'm not sure why it was so hard to resolve issues. I think they wanted to make girls sweat so they'd start admitting to stuff the cameras didn't actually catch.

I just bring in a small purse. Keep my car keys inside the purse and my money I make. The purse comes with me everywhere, even on stage.

No Lockers I have had this happen alot its also an issue at private parties. Either bring atrunk witha combination lock thats to heavy and conspicuous to carryout. Or wear adress thats decent enough to wear out of the club spandex halter style preferrably long with a g string underneath. Or wear the worst clothes I do not care if stolen to change out of . This also helps wear thigh high boots stick i.d . keys &$$ in them or top of thigh highs, wrap $$ around garter with safety pin or thick rubber bands. It can be a turn on to customers if you strip out of a normal looking outfit like a nurse uniform or business suit and you can walk out side of the club without being skimpily clothed. Also I have asked the boss to lock my belongings in their office. Hope this gives you some ideas. Some places I have worked all the girls are nice and honest and your stuff was safe but beware when they hire some new girls you never know about them. OR even female customers can steel your stuff when they use the bathroom. Its really ashame we have to worry about this I think its why so many clubs do not like to hire traveling dancers, which I really like to dance when Iam on vacation somewhere. Its also a major reason why some dancers are so unfriendly to new girls till they get to know you if they do not run you off the job first. Good Luck protecting your stuff . Francinista

In the trunk of the car mostly. my coat and street close are usually just hung up in the dressing room on a hook. I never wear anything expensive work. I have never had these things stolen, but if I did it would not be such a huge loss. Although IMO whoever would steal my street clothes must be desperate, and I would probably be pissed saying something like, "holy fuck what a loser!".

As for getting home in the instance of my clothes being stolen, I would have someone walk me to my car and just go home in my stripper gear. I would drive barefoot and here in Canada being naked (or close to naked) is not really illegal or anything. Seriously, women are allowed to walk around topless around here.

I also have a small carry on suitcase with a combination lock. If I feel really uncomfortable I'll ask the management if I can put it in their office.

I also wore sloppy clothes and also kept an extra set in my trunk. No one stole my clothes.

I've never personally had anything stolen... but it seems like when they're "going over the tapes" whatever happens/was stolen is always SOMEHOW just off camera.

Personally. I bring a suitcase with a lock and don't really take anything valuable or leave anything out.

Cheap stripper gear + luggage lock + tip DJ to get it in the booth. You should be good.

Talking about clubs with no lockers or not enough lockers I actually heard of one that required you to rent a locker if you wanted one. I wonder how come some clubs spend no money on decent dressing rooms yet charge house fees and take apercentage of your dance money.I have been at clubs with no stall doors in the bathroom. One club I hadto use the same toilet as the men all you could do was lock the door.I have been places with leaking ceilings and flooding floors when it rained hard. Broken mirrors broken booths broken chairs, torn upolstry, filthy rugs, stuff that should truly be thrown out. How can they treat us this way? The nicest dressing room I have ever been in was at Sammis on the Island in Ft. Walton Beach Florida. You could practically live there it had a washer and dryer an iron and ironing board showers plenty of lockers and more lockers behind the stage where you could keep capes boas or other supplies you just need on stage .they had a payphone and a blackboard to write messages on a female security guard and lots of costume ladies coming around if you need anything they really treated the dancers first class.Whats the worst and best dressing rooms you have seen? I left my club one day and left my stuff in my locker. Unfortunately I was involved in a car accident after I left. When I was able to return to the club after a couple of days I found the lock cut off and all of my stuff gone. It was great to see girls wearing my outfits with no shame. Apparently, one girl was selling all of my stuff...One girl bought some of the outfits because she knew they were mine and actually gave them back to me. The majority of it was just gone though. I kind of thought the management would have done something more than cut the lock off and then let everything be taken. I never leave anything at the club anymore, even if I think I'm coming back!

Ask the manager. They'll tell you what to do, usually put stuff in their office or right in front of the cam or ask the housemom to watch it. Only take what you absolutely need and don't put it in your Louis bag (exaggeration but I'm trying to say don't bring what you'd miss)

I've seen that happen a number of times. That on top of the fact that lockers can be broken into by management & through the side walls has left me not trusting lockers. The first club I ever worked at I found out management was going into my locker without my permission & I was PISSED. I'd been putting money in there & it took me a long time to figure out why at the end of the night it kept not adding up to what it should have... then I found out about management getting into the lockers. Now I know better than to trust anything being in a locker.

That happened to me one time in El Pisshole. My outfits were a loss but my shoes were pretty easy to track down because 1)I have very small, dainty size 4 feet so the suspect pool was pretty small. 2) My shoes have spikes and transformers stickers on them. I found them on one girl who claimed she thought they were hers because she had a "similar pair".
