Cost of living | With rent
New York 100 100
Toronto 95 76
Stockholm 92 73
Montreal 92 72
Los Angeles 88 72
Chicago 82 72
Miami 78 69
Berlin 76 56
Prague 58 44
Lima 56 39
Mexico City 53 40
Buenos Aires 51 38
also this cost of living ranking is based on AFTER TAX currency, meaning that the relative rankings may not be the same if recalculated on the basis of PRE TAX currency. This may be part of the reason that a CAD$ 100,000+ pre-tax income doesn't make for a luxurious lifestyle !

if you make over $100,000 CAD annually pre-tax ($97,434 USD) you're taxed 46% in this country. you get absolutely killed here.
