Hey all!
It's been a long time since I've posted here - I just started browsing again last week, and there are a lot of names I've not seen before...so, hello
The long and short of it is that I quit dancing when I graduated from college. Went on to teach high school for three years, and let me tell you, the income adjustment was ROUGH. It was a lot of fun, but there is no money or respect in teaching, so I decided to move on (ironically, I was the "hot" teacher at the school with all the porn star/stripper rumors circulating around me amongst students...go figure!)
So, last fall I returned to grad school... and I'm starting to think this would be a great time to strap the heels back on. I cannot tell you how much I miss dancing - mostly the self-confidence it gave me. I remember feeling so powerful and bold... and I really want to reclaim that. I know a lot of girls on here who retire have struggled with that.
Plus, who knows if I'll be able to get a job right when I graduate. This would be a nice career to fall back on.
So...I think I'm going to do it. Just wanted to reintroduce myself before I become active on the forum again (which, btw, I love).
