I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Getting back to the OP's topic and away from other peoples' lifestyles, a few problems with northern KY --
- quite high humidity/temperature index in summer,
- the 'good ol' boy' syndrome in politics and favoritism in general,
- strong red-neck and Bible-belt lifestyles,
- penetration of drug-induced crime in areas with little law-enforcement understanding of how to deal with it,
- lack of community services and culture common in many other built-up areas, and
- lack of a strong healthcare system
- (except for the latter two in Lexington, bowling Green, and Louisville etc).
Still it could be a lot worse.

Hey Will, you might want to consider accelerating your ex-pat move ... based on proposed new bank regulations !!!
(snip)"And now Bloomberg tells us that the feds want to keep track of all money transfers into and out of the US:
Financial institutions have long been required to report all cash transactions, whether domestic or overseas, exceeding $10,000 as well as transactions that they deem to be suspicious. The proposed regulations would expand the requirements so that banks would have to report all cross-border transfers of any size, whether or not cash is involved. (For money-transfer businesses, the threshold would be $1,000 as opposed to that at banks, which would report all amounts.)
If you send $500 to your daughter in London, what business is it of the feds?
Why do you ask, do you have something to hide?
The feds say they are preventing terrorism and money laundering. What they are really doing is gaining power. It can’t be too much longer before you need permission to send money overseas. And then, the “rich” will be fitted with the equivalent of an electronic ankle bracelet…to monitor their financial movements and prevent them from getting away with anything.
But wait. Are we becoming paranoid? Are we having a bad dream? Are we “losing it”?
Maybe. But soon, finances could be a matter of US national security. And transferring money out of the country, unauthorized, could be a crime.
The zombies are counting on your money. They won’t give it up without a fight."(snip)

^^^ yeah it would suck if you were all set to make the move, buy property in Costa Rica etc. and the US gov't steps in to say ... 'fine go ahead and move, but you can't take any of your investment / retirement money with you" ... or some other new regulation like charging you a 20% 'exit' tax for the 'privelege' of moving your money outside of the USA !
Only a matter of time 'till such things happen. If I sold my house wanted to take that $$$, I'd still have to pay taxes on that, etc, removing your IRA $$$ gets you fined, etc, so they already have you getting ass raped now. When I sold a piece of property in ME my mother left me, I paid 60k in taxes. That's 60k I could have invested, put back into the economy, hired a new person, etc, etc.
Panama has a 20 year tax abatement currently and other reasons it should make $$$ go much further.
Look at flights now, they all suck. The only thing I hate more then long flights is long flights with long lay overs.![]()
