    Default Makeup question

Do you find dark or natural (brown) eyeshadow works better? ive tried both and not sure if they make a difference..black eyeshadow is just a lot harder to look after and i find sometimes i can look washed out with natural if i dont put enough on..unsure what to wear tonight..

I usually put a base of a dark rusty brown and then just add a bit of back in the corner and crease.

You don't need to use black all the time you can use any color that is dark if you want a smokey effect. You can use dark brown, forest green, burgundy, purple, dark blue. Black can be a harsh color.

    Hope I have helped.

you've got blue eyes, right? i've used bronze eyeshadow forever. it's one of my favorites. i've got brown eyes, but i recently got blue contacts, and wow do they pop with the bronze. i add a little bit of blush to really contrast with the blue, and it looks really pretty (i always wanted to wear pink eyeshadow, but brown eyed girls can't pull it off).

the thing about metallics that's really great is that in dim lighting they actually look pretty intense. they don't disappear the way regular matte neutrals do when it's dark. and with brighter light, they shimmer a little bit.

l'oreal is the only drugstore brand i've come across that makes good shimmer eyeshadows, but a lot of pricey brands have them. mac seems to have the best.

Grey eyeshadow makes a nice change from black if you find it too harsh. You can get some really lovely smokey eyes with greys and purples.

This is what I use; http://www.laser-beauty-cosmetics.co...cosmetics.html ... They have one for blue, green, and brown eyes - I have blue eyes and the pack for the green eyes looks the best on blue eyes.. its the one the girl is using for an example

I usually like to mix colors, so I do lightest color in the start of the eye, darkest at the half endmof the eye, 2nd darkest (med brown) just above to smugde. Then white on top below the eyebrows.

i have green eyes...i bought a Maybelline eyeshadow pack for green eyes which is great, in the day time i use browns as it makes the green more intense, but at work i need darker otherwise i look washed out in the darker lighting. i wore black on fri and brown and black on sat..brown and black is a lot easier to keep neat so might go with that for a while. even if it isnt applied perfectly, when guys are drunk, all the girls look hot to them haha.

that's the great thing about black though! it doesn't really have to be perfect per se hehe that shit is like a staple for me. i use bareminerals black eyeshadow and i love it because i never have problems with it transferring or fading and it can be used as a multi-tasking color. so it can double as eyeliner and it's only $13. btw, i also have green eyes
