Default Custy's not always the smelly one

Dancer bad breath happens once in a while, no big deal, whip out your mints, eat one, offer her one. Generally she'll get the hint without there being any embarassment, or just want to eat a mint.

One dancer I really liked had an occasional problem with minor underarm odor. I think it was because she did strenuous pole work, and her body type was somewhere between Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

With another one it was, yeah, THAT odor problem. She was foreign, but she was magazine pretty, her appearance was meticulous.

I just tolerated it in both cases. I also just tolerate bad breath if I don't have mints or gum. I'm afraid if I say something it would be really humiliating, but feel bad because they are probably loosing money. Rarely in the club do you know who is who's real friend, so telling them second-hand is hard too. Your take?

Offering instead of telling is always the best. I had customers who asked for a piece of gum and I didnt mind since I respect that they dont want to stink while they talk to me. But not to sound rude, I always think the dancer needs to have gum/mints or perfume/body spray with her or in her locker, but to have it. I only seen one girl who hasnt and thats rare for me to see.

Oh crap, I didn't mean to make people paranoid. It's very very unusual, even just a little bad breath is very rare with dancers.

If you can't ask the house mom to give you a sniff test, what's she there for?

In my town, the "flashdance" is popular. All the girls walk around to shortened song blitz and do 30 second to 1 minute mini dances for a few bucks. One time I was at the club as a custy with a girl I used to dance with. This girl was doing a flash dance right across from me, a good 3 feet away. And I could smell her BO from there. She came up to me to offer but I had to decline. She stunk so badly it would have rubbed off on me.

I felt bad and hope another dancer told her. But I wasn't about to be the one, she was a pretty tall, muscular girl and I didn't need an ass beating.

It's pretty common with the smokers.

I know after I smoke I spray myself down, and pop a mint.

I can always tell when the guys just came in from having a smoke too.

As an ex-smoker I am VERY sensitive to the smell of a person who just had a cigarette, and it turns my stomach. I feel like sometimes it can limit my fun in a club, because it seems no matter where I go, most of the dancers smoke. (well at least the ones that I like)

Some dancers do a really good job of covering the smell with their body spray, but others have the smells mix, and that sometimes can make it worse. I know when I smoked I noticed the smell less or sometimes not at all, so if you were to ask for help with that you're best doing so with a non-smoker.

Sorry if this comes off as a comment from a snobby former smoker. I promised myself to try and not be that guy when I quit, but I know I still sound that way sometimes.

    Not snobby at all.
Even though I smoke, I hate kissing my husband after he has had a cigarette.

I get paranoid too out on the floor after smoking as well, because I agree, it's not a pleasant smell..lol

I always have Altoids sitting out on my table at a SC (I enjoy the flavor of the cinnamon best, but the peppermint works the best) and often a package of gum as well (I prefer this less as I don't like the cow chewing grass look). I am very accomodating to dancers who ask for one, even on some occasions having girls just walking by stop and ask for one. I don't bring them primarily for dancers, but for myself to suck on after a drink. If a lady is sitting with me, I always offer her one (as well as a drink whenever I order one; if she hesitates, I offer "how about an extra dance, then?"; if she ends up turning me off a little, I will find a polite way to keep her moving with a tip for her time). Not having smelly breath is right up there with shaving, bathing, being polite, and smiling: the customer shows respect to the lady and will likely get better service.

The dancer with dragon breath or malodorous presence will not get more than a dance or two at best. It is understandable that if a lady is dancing athletically (which might involve a short period of heavy breathing) for parts of 8 hours that she will need to freshen up her breath, her body, and make some changes of costume.

Last night, when I tipped a lady on the stage, she smiled and told me that I smelled like peppermint. If you don't have these, Rumple Minze, Hot Damn, or Goldschlager will work.

I carry the mini altoids now. I originally started bringing them to the club, after a dancer had really bad breath. Not smokers breath, but like she hadn't brushed in days. Other than that she was great. I figured it would be good to use myself and offer as a hinted courtesy. However I also realized that my beer breath could be distracting to some dancers too. So I have made sure to use them before any lap dances.

I always carried my mints, a small alcohol spray for my hands, a small perfume, and chapstick in my small work purse for this reason. No one wants to be the offender! And I had no problem sharing the mints or the alcohol spray.

I had an LD from one stripper who smelled of underarm, bad breath and crotch. I'm definitely not going to be the one to tell strippers about body odors. I don't see why I should need to tell them about that considering their type of work. If their deodorant gives out because of hard dancing they can take a two-minute shower. I've been pretty pissed off lately because of strippers who don't know what they are doing or don't care. And they all wonder why I'm not eager to spend a lot.

Unfortunately not all clubs provide a shower

this is part of the reason the business has declined in recent years.

Like Redwolf, I too always bring some refreshments to the club, which I leave sitting out on my table for all to enjoy (gum, mostly). I'll sometimes go through two or three packs in a night at the topless (alcohol serving) clubs I frequent.

I agree. I only drink beer, not hard liquor. Beer breath is not exactly pleasant so gum or Altoids or whatever are good to have around especially if the dance gets a little more up close and personal than expected.

Its disgusting for anyone to be smelly in public (especially in a SC!) but its even more disgusting for a dancer to have body odor. I don't care how hard you are dancing onstage, take the time to freshen up. I re-apply my deoderant often, have gum and mints, toothbrush, shower before work ALWAYS, and have baby wipes and body spray. I only chew half a peice of gum to avoid the "cattle grazing" look, and I try to chew my gum discretely. If I happen to eat something 'stinky' at work, I will brush my teeth and have a mint. I also drink water to keep myself hydrated, since bad breath can be caused by a dry mouth as well.

I freshen up at least every hour. Any dancer who had bad breath or body odor, I would pass on. If her breath was just a little bad, then I would offer her some gum/mints. If it was dragon breath from hell, well fuck no. Body odor is a no-go, and I will not spend or keep spending no matter how hot the dancer. Even a slight odor is too much for me.

I think it's best to first offer mints if it pertains to bad breath; if not a drink will suffice (like one Redwolf listed). Now when it comes to body odor, I feel you should say something. Most likely, no one will say anything and she'll be remembered from that. Which is more embarrassing, I think. You can say something like, "I know your working super hard sweetie but I can hardly smell your perfume. You should put some more on for me." It's like saying it without saying it, you know? Just an idea

    Well-said Samantha

What about this, "I love the smell of your body spray/perfume. I would like to smell it a little more."? And then offer a little wink.

There's a dancer that always approaches and I just cannot bring myself to enjoy her talents because of the nasty amount of body spray she uses. What's she trying to hide?

Worse than that, its like a patchouli oil type smelly spray which I can smell from 6 feet away. Can't imagine what it would be like to be pinned underneath her in a room.

All the heavy perfume and body sprays... My nose dies pretty quickly in the club. If I smelled bad breath I would simply take out a piece of gum or mint (usually have one or the other) for myself and casually offer them a piece. Hopefully they would take it.

Me too. It's sort of like "Yesss. That's riiight... Give me your money while I chomp away uncaringly on this massive piece of gum with an expression that clearly displays how much I don't give a fuck about you."
