If scientific progress continues, at some point, men will no longer be necessary for human reproduction. The first form of reproduction without men will be cloning. Eventually, two women will be able to make a baby (fertilized in vitro) that will have half of its genes from each of the two women (Heather really has two mommies). The baby would always be female. These advances may well occur before the end of this century. Do you think the male gender will disappear from humans? Will the percentage of males just decline? Or will the percetage of men stay about where it is, about 50 at birth?
