    Default P90X Journey

Today was Day 2 of my P90x Journey and I am sore EVERYWHERE but Im cannot wait to work out again tomorrow!

I had my first child last summer and my my second (and final) child six weeks ago, both via c-section. Im 5'8 and my current measurements are 35-30-39. At this time I weigh 161 and have 28% BF.

These are my DAY 1 photos:

Im supposed to take photos again DAY 28, DAY 56, and then again on DAY 90. I posted my DAY 1 photos as my desktop background to ensure that I stick to this program and I will!

There are three versions in the P90X program and I have chosen to do the lean version as I tend to build muscle very quickly. I want to acheive a more toned leaner look.

The only part of the program I will be unable to follow to a "T" is the nutrition guide as I do not eat vegatables at all. I cant stomach them. However, I will be eating very clean and maintaining portion control. There is never any junk food in the house and I have never made a habit of buying it while Im out. If Im out and need to eat it will be an extremely selective Subway sandwich or a grilled chicken sandwich from Chick-Fila. However most of the time I will likely have a meal on hand. I mainly drink water, 2% milk on a rare occassion.

I will be returning to work in about two weeks. What will I look like? Probably not much different but as my body improves and revamps, Im sure that my money and clientle will increase. Right now I have to maintain thick skin and work with what I got till I get right.

You had a c-section 6 weeks ago??!! Did you clear it with your dr to do px90? that's an intense workout. I know the body takes 6-8 weeks to heal. i think with a c section I would wait the extra 2 weeks. ( not scoulding you here, just concerned.)
That said You have a young child and a 6 week old and feel good enough to exercise! Holy crap. Kudos to you.
I look forward to seeing day 28 photos! Your body handled the 2 pregnancies very well by the looks of your photos. It won't take you no time at all to get where you want to be!!

Its nice to know that someone else on this forum is doing this program. Congratulations on completing week three! I chose to post my before pics after doing a search and finding that depite the fact people had done or attempted this program there were no pics.

    Which version are you doing?

I understand the concern. A c-section is major surgery but I was cleared at 4 weeks to my surprise. My body handled this second c-section MUCH better than the first. My scar was completely healed after a week and a half. My doctor couldnt believe it or understand it.

Thank you for the compliments. I cant wait to complete this program!

I had my first experience with AB Ripper X today...

I was sure that any moment I was just going to collapse into the floor. Its a lot of work to be the shortest video. After doing it NOW I understand how the grads of this program have the results they do.

I have never had abs before. I always had a flat stomach but there was never a six pack. Truthfully Im not really sure if I would want one but I guess I will know for sure as I progress through this program.

    Day 4 Tomorrow!

Good luck. I tried doing that P90x.. I got the one that says its P90x (and p90x+) I dont know the difference.. but I tried and I was in shape then... my first day was good but tense...second day I only did half.. and 3rd day I just stopped... my body was wore out and done. All the work outs were about 45 - 60 mins each! So good luck, just make sure to keep it up and dont quit like me hah!

Thanks for sharing your experience. My body has been sore everyday as well but Im just focusing on my goal of looking phenomanal for the new year.

Im actually surprised I havent quit because I spent the last trimester of my pregnancy in my by bed doing nothing. I feel great though. Maybe its just the excitement of whats to come keeeping me going.

I did Yoga X today and it was a little hard for me. I was glad when my one year old started crying for me so I could take a moment to catch my breath.

I plan to do Stretch X on my whats supposed to be my rest days to maximize my results since Im planning to head back to work soon.

    On to Day 5...

I completed Day 5 yesterday. I was really having to force myself to keeping going but I got through it. I hope that by the end of this I will be able to do a pull-up on my own cause right now Im kicking it with the chair assist.

I woke up this morning feeling like death warmed over. Both of my kids and myself are sick.

My head and face hurt so bad and it really bothered me thinking that both my son and daughter feel the same way but cant verbalize it. I made them both comfortable and then decided to go ahead and do Day 6.

Im glad I did. Kenpo X is the $#5% ! I know Im going to feel it in the morning but I set a goal and I intend to accomplish it. Im so proud that I survived my first week of P90X. Tomorrow is supposed to be rest day, however I really want to do the Stretch X. I leave up to my body as to whether I rest or not.

My boyfriend is doing P90X, and you WILL see serious results in 2 weeks. He's always been in shape, but didn't have that very cut and defined look. In just 10 days his abs are looking amazing. I can only imagine what he'll look like at 90 days.

Congrats to your boyfriend on his progress so far. Is he doing the classic version?

I hope I see a smidge of results in two weeks. If not I will just keeping going hard till I do. My fiance didnt expect me to go back to work till November anyway.

I am still under weather but I did my workout today anyway. I was so tempted to take update photos cause I know I see changes in my body.

Turns outs I have already lost two inches off my waist! My shape is coming back no more squareness, lol.

I cant wait to post my progress pics on the 26th!

Everything has been against me doing my P90X for the past two days, but I got it done anyways!

Now if I can just stay on top of my calorie intake I will be straight. I ate next to nothing yesterday so Im sure that is going to be a setback in my results for this week.

I need to up my weights but since Im broke, Ill have to work with what I got till I can afford new ones. AB RipperX is still hard as hell but Im pusing through it and getting it done.

My first night back at work will be the 18th so I have to make this week and the next really count.

Im not looking foward to YogaX tomorrow, but no pain no gain.

Im currently taking a break in the middle of the Yoga X. I hate it!!! Its an hour and a half long and there is NOTHING reaxing about it. I better be extra hot after this torture...ugghh.

I have nine days till I return to work so Im going to have to bring it whether I like it or not today. Im trying to figure out how I am going to continue with P90X once I return to work. I think Im going to do the workouts after I get off work and then go to bed. Well we see how it goes. I know I have finish these first 90 days.

Okay my pretend restroom break is over...back to Yoga X.

Okay I got through YogaX. Its the motion portion that I cannot stand but the balance part is tolerable.

Im trying to get close to the amount of calories Im supposed to be taking in. I have no idea what Im going to do about getting my veggie count...V8 Fusion maybe?

I cant believe Im halfway through week two!

You should post a picture before you go to work! Have you started noticing any changes yet?

I'd love to try it too, the cost has me a little on the fence though.

For veggies - I'm not a fan either, cucumber and sweet potatoes aren't that bad - add bell peppers into an egg white omlette - put some spinach in a smoothie (you won't be able to taste it)

    Good luck!

I'm excited to see a progression of pictures! You go girl
Also- to go on what other are saying If you have a juicer or a natural food store that juices fruits and veggies go there and they can usually do custom juices..This is what I get:
spinach, ginger, lemon, parsley, celery, cucumber, garlic, carrot, apple, and beet then I have them blend it with a smoothie of banana, papaya, strawberry, rasberry, blueberry
blended together (if done right) you cant even taste the veggies and its super good for you! But some people might not like it..I love the taste of fruits and veggies but I am secretly a vegan/raw foodist hippe :p

Im debating on whether or not to take pictures before I go back to work since I my update will be coming up soon after that. Ill make a decision by Sunday.

The cost had me on the fence too, but for twelve dvds, a guidebook, and a nutrition plan it was more than worth it for me. Plus, I dont have two load my two babies into the car or find a sitter cause I can do it at home which is priceless for me.

I may try cucumbers, I like sweet potatoes but they count as carb on this program.

Today was the end of week 2. Im not as sore as I was when I started this program but their are still parts where I wonder what have I gotten myself into. At the end of the program though I tend to have this superhero feeling since is regarded as very hard. (With good reason.)

Im going to do Stretch X tomorrow to add to the results process.

Officially one week till my first night back!

According to the scale, I am still not losing weight

But I feel way stronger with the exercises that I totally hated when starting. My body is feeling stronger all over and I am starting to feel like my belly is not in the way so much.

So hopefully as I enter phase two, I won't just be getting stronger, but starting to lean out as well.

I am scared to see what tonight brings, since I am starting a new dvd I haven't done yet...Prolly gonna be way sore tommorrow

PS - actually did a chin up the other day!!!!!!!!!

Same. So I did what I do with everything else... downloaded the first week, and burned the dvd's myself to give it a try and see if it was something that I liked.
Not that I'm suggesting you go and steal the whole program. Just saying... you could probably find someone you know doing it and borrow the first couple of dvd's to see if you thought you could stick with it before purchasing the whole thing.
