    Default dumb customers

I think what annoys me the most about the customers are the ones who think that strippers are...how can I put this....not real people. Like we were born and raised to be strippers.

I'm still fairly new to the game but I've been working hard on my pole tricks during the down time when there aren't too many customers. I can do some pretty good ones but last week I got this customer who was like "show me a pole trick!" so I did a few different spins, flipped upside down, climbed the pole and hung with my legs crossed and made myself spin. when I got done he was like "you can't do any crazy pole tricks?" I wanted to smack him like this stuff isn't easy! I had no prior dancing experience and I don't really do sports so all the upper body strength I gained was just from dancing. jeez!!

one guy was completely shocked that I play video games. he was like "I didn't know strippers were into that" I was like "helloooo! we're people too!"

another (fairly drunk) customer asked me if we all lived in a house together like a playboy mansion. what the heck??

anything like this happen to you?

eh. i think a lot of the guys who say that stuff are just fucking with you. but the ones who mean it, well, they don't see any women as real people, not just strippers. hell, a lot of them don't even see other men as real people. some guys are socially clueless. those are the ones who genuinely have to "pay for it", "it" being getting a human to interract with them at all. lol.

I have been dancing for 7 years and could have a never ending convo about all the stupid shit I have heard. A lot of the times when it's just the dumbest, I play along. So like to the guy that thought all strippers live in the same house. You could say something like, "Yeah and we all drive the same car and share clothes!" It's good to have some sort of sense of humor cause otherwise it will just get annoying. It also seems to me guys always want more. So your pole tricks were probably great but of coarse he wants more. Why didn't you spin yourself around holding on to the pole by one finger while doing cartwheels!!! When I'm on stage I don't listen to anybody. It's my only time to not talk, not listen, just dance. So if someone asks for something cool 1) im already doing something cool and 2) im not taking requests. So I simply smile at them and keep doing what was I doing.

Customers like that are the same ones who'll never get a hot girl so they think we are all bimbos. I've heard so many stupid things. Probably the dumbest things I've ever heard where customers who assumed because I was a dancer I was stupid. I'm not. Actually anytime you say/do something not "stereotypical" they are often surprised. Many were surprised to know I read and that I was never a heavy duty dater.

I'm not gunna write much since this is from my phone. But Were there to sell fantasy so maybe keep it on that line. Some men are stupid when they enter the stripclub with such thoughts and comments which makes stripclubs and strippers great cause if we seemed normal where would the money be

i agree with letting them believe what they want. most guys don't go to a strip club to learn a valuable lesson about women being multidimensional individuals. they have an ideal they want, and you should probably give it to them. try to be consistent. if you look ditzy and vanilla, it's best to act ditzy and vanilla. the pale girl with glasses can pull off nerdy, because guys who like her look will want that personality.

Being as you are fairly new to the game... you will soon discover. Most customers are dumb. The trick is pretending you are dumber then they are. Its really draining.

i agree with samantha. dont take requests on stage. you are in charge, these asshats dont tell you what to do.

only exception is if its a customer you have been sitting with who will tip you well and he means well. or maybe if some guy is tipping you at least 20$. but for some jackass with a dollar, fuck him. often you need to put them in their place.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Uuugh, I need to learn to do this when I meet one of these guys. I mean, some of the guys really appreciate an intelligent woman, but others...notsomuch.

I know I'd make more money if I could stop myself from talking back and whatnot, but...GAH.. I have too much pride, and too little need for their money. I should really get into the mindset of "I am here to make money, not to make a point."

^idk I'm a smartass and I think in the scheme of thing it balances out. I might lose a sale to one jackass but then I'll have conserved the energy to make a sale to the next less of a jackass. Also a lot of them will actually start to mind their manners when you talk back to them. It depends on your hustle.

Also it's regional. For me this works in most places but in Dallas I had to learn to dumb myself down to make money. Hence why I found it so draining. But in some regions guys will spend even after I call them out.

Most customers know very little about our industry from the actual work side.

I won't say not to take requests, I've made money doing requests. However, some things are out of line like asking for pole tricks and then acting unamused.

In some places dancers do get dormed together. I've had multiple places like that this year. Its pretty common in the midwest where the clubs often have dancers that travel all year round.

I'm nice probably 98-99% of the time. It really takes a guy being rude for me to put him back in line. Generally I just report them to management. I feel the same as you though - I don't need their money. I've walked away from money numerous times & even given guys their money back when they just totally weren't worth my time to deal with. For example some a-hole last week who acted annoyed about having to tip me, tipped me a $10 then snatched it back right out of my hands - only to hand me $2 back. Yeah, I let him keep his $2, told him he was rude & didn't give him a second of my time the rest of the night. Too bad for him too since I was probably the hottest dancer in the club according to the men I spoke to. C'est la vie!

yeah the pole trick thing bothered me. I know it's my job to entertain guys but come on!! it makes me want to go to his job and be like "wow that's all you can do? booooooooooring"

and idk the way the guy worded the question about the dancers living together was a little weird. I don't remember exactly what he said but he was insinuating something different than dorming together. he meant actually LIVING together and not having real lives and families lol I wish I could remember what he said it was way out there
