Default I don't think I'm making as much money as I should be

monday through wednesday I'm lucky if I make 100 dollars. it's SO dead during the week and it's hard to hustle every customer when there are just as many dancers as there are guys.

thursdays I usually make around 100. sometimes less.

friday and saturday I make anywhere between 150 and 250.

sundays it's completely hit or miss.

also, I've never made more than 400 dollars in a shift. ever!

I don't like to ask any of the girls how much money they make because it's rude. I have heard of girls walking out of my club with 1000 or more but only once in a while.

I tried two other clubs with no luck. I went to one other club and the girls there told me that nobody was really making any money.

what should I do? keep trying different clubs? is my club the problem or am I the problem? heeelppp

I've been working in this industry for 7 years. I've seen it change dramatically. I'm sure most on here can agree. The fact is that the economy effects everyone; us and our customers. I think it's always best is your doing really bad at one club, keep trying others. Have you gone to all the clubs in your town/city? When the club is dead there is nothing you can do but wait. Which I understand can totally be annoying and depressing. Then you have to know not to be hard on yourself; it's not you. Also, try to figure out how much you could make in another job and compare figures. Good Luck

    I dunno, I'm happy if I leave with $100.
    I'm only there 6 hours.

It seems like the average at my club is $150-$200.
With a few girls who average more.

How long have you been dancing?

You said in another post that you are new to the game. Honestly it takes most dancers at least 5 years to start figuring out how selling really works in the clubs. Plus, we are in a recession. I've been dancing for many years (double digits) & I can say that it has changed a lot. I know that I still make more that most girls & I'm regularly the top earner or in the top 3 when I work. With that said I also hear what other girls are making. It depends on the club, how many hours you work etc. However I would say right now the national average for many dancers is $200/shift. Your average could be higher or lower, again depending on your region & club. Try to find ways to challenge yourself though. Make a mental note of how many dance you see other girls giving & try to give the same number of dances.

100 dollars a shift IS enough to live off (before I started dancing I made 250 a week!) but I'm upset because there's the potential to make so much more. I'm not trying to sound greedy but when I see girls walk out of the club with $500 or more I get jealous :[

    I've been dancing since april

i have often wondered this myself.
i have recently dyed my (red) hair blonde, to see if it makes a difference in my earning potential.

of course, if i could shut my mouth and not be a sarcastic bitch to asshole customers, that might help too...

but it's true, we are in a recession. i remember when a $200 was a terrible night; now i think it's a good night. depends on how you see things!

you probably could make more. some girls can bank anywhere. good for them. the rest of us can work on ourselves and our hustle, find our ideal type of club, figure out what type of customer we most appeal to and how to maximize that appeal. if you think you could make more, make changes. but remember, a nice club and high maintanance look might make more money, but if they cost more than the difference, they aren't worth it. figure out what works for you.

I'd like to interject just for a second.

The two top earners at my club are both new dancers. They beat out girls who have been working there for 5-7 years consistently and nightly. Their only competition is each other. One of them has been dancing for 5 months and one has been doing it for 3 months. One of the girls is really plain, muscular in build, with a hairy asshole, and beef curtains. The other one is actually pretty cute, friendly, energetic, short, and stands out with her stage presence. Surprisingly I've noticed the former makes a wee bit more than the latter.

Anyway, I don't think it's fair for veteran dancers to assume that girls need to work for x length of time before they can work and make 'real' money. On a night shift (7-9 hours) the least I ever made was $200 even, and I've been doing this for a little while now. And according to you guys that is average, and my region is nothing short of cutthroat in the way of prostitution at nearby clubs.

I think if your gut tells you that you aren't being paid enough you should move clubs or tweak your look. I see fat, saggy, cheesebutt dancers making money and doing VIPs and I think they are disgusting--so work for what you feel you are worth and don't stop till you find it.

^ She's got a point. Sometimes it's not about who's working longer, or harder - it's about who's working smarter. Stripping can be SO much more than just making enough to get by and pay your bills. Yes, experience will help you make more money, but there's no reason why you can't make more money right now.

If you think you could increase your earnings, you're probably right. Figure out what you're doing wrong, or rather, what the higher earners are doing that you're not (extras don't count...). Don't be content at $700/week. Keep working on yourself.

It could just be your area, some cities were hit harder with the recession. It probably wouldn't hurt to pick up a sales book though and get a few new tips. And hard as it is, try not to focus on how much the other girls are making or get down on yourself if you're not making as much as you'd like. A positive attitude goes a long way!
