Dvds of favorite tv shows, Facebook, vicodins, sleep.... oh and online research of whatever you have been meaning to do....
Oh and if you like a good long book midsts of avalon is great. It's king Arthur story thru a woman's eyes. Oprah book club....

omg! i'm going through the same thing, but different surgery. i have a new admiration for women who undergo plastic surgery and manage to get through the recovery period without losing their minds.
Good luck on your recovery! Im going in 2 weeks!
I'd suggest video games, if you;re into them... tv shows.. start something new from season 1 through the end such as weeds, house, dexter depending on your tastes. I was sick for 2 weeks straight and thats ALL i did in 2 weeks.. it was quiet entertaining if you pick the right show.
Do some streches or light excersies on your legs (if your allowed)... Go to a spa.. even getting your nails done takes 1 - 3 hours for a cheap price to waste time.. clean the house.. get back into your old hobbies that you havnt touched in awhile such as drawing, cooking, etc.

Sleep lots and lots of sleep. sooo good.

i thought i would sleep but i'm pacing in circles like a crackhead.

i checked myself into a hotel that has a spa and a starbucks inside so i'm hoping that will be a nice distraction for the next two days. i hate that i cannot lie out at the pool though!! grrrrr.

I'm recovering from a badly broken foot and I so feel you on this. I'm totally stir-crazy and just want to do SOMETHING. Anything!
There's only so many movies you can watch! Kisca's video game idea is a good one; something that immersive might distract you from the crushing boredom.
If you find a magical fix let me know! And heal quickly![]()

promnesiac, are you taking lots of supplements?
poor thing, i don't know what i would do if i couldn't pace around. i imagine i would roll around, i am that restless. maybe we should arrange a skype session since we're all on the west coast? i am now pacing around talking to myself.
i am also emailing heavily. though this gets old fast. but sometimes, it's nice to email for an hour, and then pace for an hour, and then check for emails after you're done pacing and mumbling to yourself. also, youtube how to's are very relaxing. i like to watch people style other people's hair, i don't know why. it's almost as relaxing as someone playing with your hair.
also, valium, now that the anesthesia edge has worn off completely.
i tried to do what teaze is doing (planning planning planning!) but that just stressed me out more, so instead, i'm just emailing like crazy.

and this thread does help between my pacing sessions!

watching dancer movies might simply frustrate me because i'll want to go make money.
the pain is not bad. i'm taking tylenol. i take valium in general, so i had to stop for the weeks beforehand, but now that i'm post op, i can take it again. so that helps a little. A LITTLE!
i can't bend over or anything, but i am doing shoulder rolls. that kind of makes me feel like i'm not turning into a soft piece of mush.

Trashy magazines are always good time wasters.

I read a lot of books on history & business... but I know most people aren't really into those. The only fictional book that I ever enjoyed as much as Harry Potter was The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey. Actually, I really wish someone would make that book into a movie!
If you do like history I really recommend Sex In History by Reay Tannahill.
If you want to read about sales strategies this book is supposed to be fabulous:
http://www.amazon.com/Uncensored-Sal...=31A68JFCU6LVR
If you want more TV series that are good:
Psych
Pushing Daisies
Dead Like Me
Reaper
The History Channel has a few great programs on sex history that are available on DVD through Amazon.
I'm sure this is going to sound ridiculous but probably one of the most interesting books I own is Gardner's Art Through the Ages. It has tons of pictures of art & history from around the world. This type of thing is good to know if you work in an upscale gentlemen's club because you can actually impress some of the guys who do travel the world by knowing about the regions & the art there.
Another thing you can do... make a bucket list or "to do before I die" list.
I'll try to think of more things to keep you occupied.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

hahaha making a bucket list sounds fun!!

Reading up on how the stock market works & following stocks can be good. I used to do stock trading online when I was younger. Some guys are impressed with what I know of it.
I have a regular who is VERY high up in the military. He probably would be let go if anyone knew he saw me. I caught him by a dicey whim of the moment comment I made on the Vietnam war. Generally I don't recommend talking politics or religion with people because its so easy to offend them, especially if you don't know in-depth details. As it happens I know a lot about the Vietnam war, something most people in my generation don't know a lot about, & I held what might be considered an unconventional opinion that he agreed with. Again, it was a calculated move that with most customers may have been dicey... for him it worked though.
Its worth studying & knowing about a variety of things but be careful about touchy subjects that you don't know much about.

girl, please. a good chunk of the dancers in new york barely speak english and they do fine.
i dunno, i have handful of friends and exes in finance in ny and i never bothered to learn anything about money. if there's something they want you to know, they'll explain it to you.
though i do have a strong background in art, so that always went over well when i worked in ny. also, the ability to lie your ass off convincingly is a great skill to have in manhattan.
more than anything about ny, i would just focus on being the best you can be, as opposed to picking up a bunch of books about shit you don't care about.
i cannot sit still long enough to make a bucket list!
Ouch, never knew such little things could be such stress on the boobies! How are you doing so far with your recovery?
You should deff check it out Weeds, if your into a laid-back show. If you're into histoical drama I suggest Rome it has awesome sex, politics, back-stab scenes - plus its only 2 seasons, good for 4 full days.
And yes.. Im a big nerd.. both PS3 and 360. I prefer the xbox360 (like the controller better) and b/c I got mine modded so I could buy burned games for 5$. I hated buying 70$ games when I wanted everything hah. Bad thing is mircosoft bans you from online play. So if you're into multiplayer stay with PS3, since your online is free, plus I think the graphics are sightly better.

I read fanfiction for hours and hour after my BA....but I'm a nerd like that. I could read fanfiction and not realize that 12 hours had passed. It has an addicting quality for me, it's like I can't stop....

An unbelievable number of supplements. But yeah, I want nothing more than to run down the street for no reason. I'll do that in December. Maybe. haha.
YouTube how tos are a great idea! I hadn't thought of that. Might as well learn some new makeup tricks while I'm sitting around. Thanks!!
Teaze, Red Dead Redemption is GREAT. I absolutely loved it. Also Borderlands is fantastic and has a ton of replay value. Both of those will kill many many (many) hours.![]()

hsn has a youtube channel. omg heaven on earth.

Sorry to hear you're having so much boredomI wish I could offer advice, but I'm going in for my first BA next week so I'm not of much help! I've stocked up on books, movies etc....but I know I'm gonna go insane!!
Aww poor you, that sucks having no one around to help you! Take care of yourself. Im glad you like weeds so far. I have like every game you can think of (thanks for 5$ games) As above poster mentioned - Red Dead Redemption is fun. Bioshock 1 & 2 is awesome. Call of Duty.. any of them are awesome.. I like army games.. Bad company is also one of them. Dragon age is a RPG, if you're into those.. you'll be stuck for hours. Fall out is rated highly as well.
Oh noo.. my xbox was modded in my city.. Just craigslist a nerd. Costed 30$, but you get banned from online play which does cost money. Im a not fan of online.. so it doesnt matter for me.
Hehe nice! Everyone I know loves that game.. At least its keeping you busy! Im thinking of taking my xbox to my post-op, since its far away from home. No.. their all burned games. Im sort of frugal on 60, 70$ games. How'd your grocery delivery go? I never knew you could do this... Never saw it around here!
Btw... did you consider sleeping pills? Are allowed to take them during your post-op? A good body pillow on a 45 degree angle can be comforable in a weird way, you adapt to it.
