Smiley audition advice which is better amauter night or private auditions?

Im planning on auditioning late this month or early next month before my next birthday I will be 26 but luckily look about 21. Ive been looking at the clubs and the one that I would want to get in at has a amature night but they also offer private auditions. Does anyone have experience with what happens in a private audition? honestly I think I would prefer the amature night because of the cash prizes but would my chances be better with a private audition? I really want this particular club.

I highly prefer auditions. This way..

    1) The manager knows beforehand that you actually want a job instead of just a crazy night out with your girlfriends.
    2) You can set up a meeting, so you know that the right people will be there to hire you.
    3) You aren't competing with other girls or for the crowd--you're just trying to show that you can dance.
    4) Sometimes, if you're hot, you won't even have to audition--just show up, look hot, and get the job!
    5) You don't have to wait around for your audition. Or, if you want to, you can often stand and watch for awhile to get comfortable (whereas amateur nights are more scheduled).

The only downside is that you don't really make a lump sum of money by auditioning (many amateur nights give money to the winner).

I despise amateur nights. Half the time the girls aren't amateurs but rather girls from other clubs. Also, some of them make the girls do stupid & embarrassing things - like bouncing up & down on those blow up balls so they can see your chest bounce. DJ's often say things over the amateurs dancing that are dumb as well.

Just give me some music at a regular audition & let me dance... no circus acts for me!
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Some amateur nights are all about applause, and not always the best one wins, but the one who brought the most friends. So, during amateur nights some clubs aren't really looking for new dancers.

And yes, I do go to amateur nights when I need some extra gas money, since they're held the days that I'm off.

Good luck! Don't worry about learning pole tricks for your audition though. I find that they're usually more of a formality, just to see what you look like naked and if you can move around on stage at all. Just dance slow, pose, do a few simple moves, etc, no need to get fancy and whip out crazy moves you just learned.

I also prefer the private auditions, for exactly the same reasons Charlie listed.
