    Question Got hired/Questions

I got hired at a local club today. After working myself up, I finally went in and within 5 minutes, landed a job! I've been lurking on the boards here for a little bit, and just wanted to share my excitement.

The club owner explained to me the dress code, which I might wanna include, the club is topless only, not full nude. She ran me through the obvious, shoes, types of panties, etc. But in my excitement/the fact I had a terrible headache (probably self inflected from the stress of mustering the courage to go in lol) my mind went blank, and half way driving home I realized... I have NO idea what to wear. I saw several of the girls there, all wearing different things. Some had full coverage costumes on, meaning covering the tummy, booty, boobs, and others had bikini-esque costumes on. My question is, what is an appropriate "starter" outfit, I dont have thousands to go spend on glamorous costumes, to buy? Even after reading all the posts on here, there are still soo many questions I have. Is a simple bra, (lacy push up, pretty sexy) decent attire to wear in the club? If there is a veteran out there reading this, if you can find it in your heart to send me a PM and help a newbie out, I'd appreciate it tons! Thanks ladies.

Yep, the bra will do just fine.

Actually, just a nice little Bikini would probably do the trick for the first night, and a standard pair of black or clean stripper shoes (5 or 6 inches to start). Just make sure that your bottoms are regulation (cover enough) and you're good to go.

Most Newbies dance in a bra until they've been working enough to save up for more 'stripper-y' outfits.

When I first started, I went to my local lingerie/stripper wear joint and told them I was a new dancer looking for something appropriate. She showed me different outfits that her dancer clients would typically buy for work. It was all very helpful and I found a great outfit that wasn't too expensive. (I didn't want to buy the best looking, more expensive outfit because A. I wasn't even sure if I was going to like stripping and B. I was broke.)

I'd just call the club & ask... it's so much easier than trying to guess & it will ease your mind.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

A cute bra that u have would do the job until u make some money which u probably will, but make sure your bottom is by regulations, when u got to work before u get dress look around first what the other girls are wearing and ask around just to make sure..

Thanks for the tips ladies. I am going shopping tomorrow, dont start til wednesday, so I'll go ahead and ask at the shop. If I'm still iffy about my choices, I'll call the club. I know this is probably a stupid question, but again, I'm a fresh newbie; just because there are regulations to bottoms, do I have to stick to that outline? For example, the limits are a tback, owner said must 2 fingers wide (if that makes sense?) but could I still wear boyshorts or cheeky peeks if I'd like to? Personally, I despise thongs, I understand I am going to have to wear them, but if I want to switch it up, and wear something a little more covering, is that ok too? I think my booty looks best in the "cheeky" type bottoms, so I'd like to add a couple pairs of those to my wardrobe. Thanks for tolerating me and my silly questions

Wear those cheekies girly! You don't have to wear the bare minimum, unless they club strictly asked you to (which I doubt a club would). If you feel good in those nice little booty-panties then wear those. Maybe bring a 'regulation' thong with you on your first night just in case (its always nice to be prepared).

I always like it when a girl wears a little skirt with cheekies underneath. This means she still gets to strip off one pair of bottoms and her top, and leave something to the imagination.

BTW: no problem with your 'silly' question. No HONEST question is dumb or silly here. It's always nice to see new peeps join the site. Please do stick around once your dancing career is off the ground!

Thanks! My questions seem to be endless.... What about dancing? I've never, ever, danced on a pole in my entire life. I've read threads of girls saying that customers wanted pole tricks and when they couldn't do them, the customers got pissy. I can deal with pissy customers... but what kinds of moves do you find get the most attention and response from customers that don't involve the pole? I really want to learn pole tricks, but I think thats going to have to wait until I can afford one for home. I wouldn't attempt any in the club on the job because knowing me I would end up hurting myself terribly and then end up being out of work for months lol.

I would suggest going to a pole fitness class in your area, or meeting someone who has a pole at their house that they'd let you use.
Aside from pole tricks, I get a lot of attention of preforming the splits, or doing floor work. You can watch plenty of pole dancers on youtube and pick up on their floor work (you'll just have to ignore the tricks part). Leigh Ann is just one of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpDqc...eature=related

Don't worry about pole tricks, especially your first time on stage. When I first started, (and this is still what I do!) I'd walk around the pole, wrap myself around it, use it as support to slowly shimmy down to the floor, but no tricks. I attended an open pole dancing class shortly after starting and paid for a private lesson to learn a couple basics, but I haven't busted any moves out.

I prefer to do floorwork and slowly walk around, posing, swaying, bending over, etc. I'm big on eye contact and it's easier to maintain it that way than when you're climbing and swinging around the pole. Just my 2cents.

Good luck on your first shift!
