    Dizzy In-N-Out Burger

Alright, so here is my dilemma. i am on a healthy diet right now for many reasons. and i dont really want to violate it.

BUT i have never had In-N-Out Burger. I am born on the east coast, lived in the midwest, south, and southwest and for the first time i have spent an extended period of time in an area that has In-N-Out Burger. Whenever i tell people i have never tried it, they proceed to be like "wtf how have you never had In-N-Out Burger...its soooooo good" and proceed to rave about it. I am not really a fast food person but all of the raves have made me want to try it.

Plus i like the name. it sounds very dirty in a sexual way, but also very unsexy at the same time.

So, what to do what to do. Say fuck my diet for a minute and try a stupid burger? or be a good girl and eat somethin healthy.

Srsly, im a woman and am therefore indecisive. need help. Im leaving reno tomorrow so this is my last chance till i return!

also, i hear there are only 4 options listed but if you know other options and request them then you can get. so what would you recommend ordering?
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

hell girl if you're gonna violate your diet for a burger; make it a more interesting burger (like one from carl's jr or something). i've had in-n-out burger and i really don't get all the excitement about it. the burgers are kinda plain in my opinion. even white castle is more interesting lol.

I don't believe in cheat meals or cheat days because you'll never be able to kick the addiction so long as you have them. If you can't resist today what makes you think you will be able to resist tomorrow? That's how I look at it.

Also: when I first relocated to SoCal from the east coast everyone told me I just HAD to try In-N-Out Burger because it was soooooo freakin' good and blah blah blah...girl let me tell you it is not worth the hype. I mean, they're not BAD but they're not great. I'll take Burger King or Carl's Jr. over them any day. Don't cheat on your diet for In-N-Out it's not worth it!!

I voted no. Of course I don't eat meat, but when I lived near these places I tried them without the meat & they weren't all that good. I feel the same way about WhatABurger(sp?).

I've had In-and-Out when I lived in California, didn't think it was all that special IMO. The burger wasn't greasy enough for me and the meat didn't taste like anything special. Then again you only live once so you might as well try it

Omg I thought Whattaburger was disgusting!! I was really hungry one night, ordered a whole bunch of food from there and it was actually so nasty that I couldn't eat it. Not even the fries. It's pretty hard to fuck up burgers and fries to the point that they're inedible. But they did!

Not sure how you can properly judge the quality of the burger without having the meat. (?) I suppose you could comment on the bun or lettuce, whether the fries were good or not. Unless they have a veggie burger option, in which case ... come on, would you really expect it to be good.

Oh no I've just opened the Pandora's box of "OMG, I luv garden burgers ... they are sooo goooood!!!" comments. Please

    Whataburger sucks too

I don't know if I would compromise my healthy diet for In N Out, but a Carl's Jr. guacamole burger or green chile cheeseburger would definitely change my mind. And I never eat fast food!

I was in California twice recently and didn't try it although I was definitely tempted. I am also into eating healthy after reading The China Study.
It may be good or whatever, but it's still fast food; It's ground beef at that. You'd feel much better after eating a VeggiBurger

Seems like you're not so much concerned about your weight Athena, but things like the environment and cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and a range of autoimmune diseases caused by a high-animal protein diet. I do agree with not being 100% strict with yourself when you're just getting into it, but I just don't think a fast food burger is worth it. Grass-fed filet mignon on your birthday maybe

I voted yes, but I don't think the poll should be binding. I lived on the west coast and I've never had one, but it wasn't a big deal at that time. I mean, it's a hamburger. How amazing can it be ?

You have to look within yourself. If it will gnaw at you that you missed In-N-Out, then do it. Everyone breaks their diet once in a while for an indulgence, not a big deal as long as you re-commit.

I changed my my mind on the poll, my vote is changed to NO. Even though their advertising or cult appeal has pierced your anarchist mindset, fast food can only deliver the best meal possible at their price point. You are nationwide, and can always go for the best burger in the area, where and if the time is right for a diet transgession. No need to pounce just bcz you're moving out of range of a chain.

Oh I didn't see this before my above post suggesting such a thing. Some actually taste amazing and are better for the planet and health care costs, so if other people enjoy them I don't think anyone should have a problem with it.

Pretty much. Buns, fresh veggies, & good condiments make a huge different. Actually, Griff's is amazing... & probably the only burger I'd recommend anyone consider if they were serious about breaking their diet for a burger.

I can't attest to the quality of In-N-Out, but I took my first trip out west and wound up taking a fast food tour. I hit up Jack in the Box, Sonic, Carl's Jr (I think?) and Waffle House (definitely fast food). I don't miss any of it, but I loved the novelty and the indulgence. Then again, I eat fast food about once a week, so I have no idea how hard it is to maintain a diet after eating something unhealthy and delicious.

I like the reward system when having something like this. just have a good week of training & diet & at the end have your meal. I would try to have it early in the day though. Funny how people that have tried it vote no...lol..enjoy life

I can see your POV, different people look for different things. She was asking if she should break her diet by having a hamburger not whether she should destroy the environment or not.

Gotta disagree with you here ( not about Griff's never been)
A hamburger has hamburger in it...
A margarita has Tequila in it...
Zucchini bread has zucchini in it...

I don't believe the quality of any can be judged without the main ingredient.

Cheat meals are good. Spike your caloric intake for a day or two so your metabolism doesn't get flatlined. I would say high calorie days are actually essential. If you want a compromise, eat the burger but skip the fries and soft drink.
