Take what girls tell you with a grain of salt. If you aren't sure ask the manager. Girls can be vicious sometimes... especially if they are jealous or find any reason to not like you.

As look as your nails don't have chipped paint or snags then you are fine.

Most clubs have contract. Just read the thing, make sure you know what it says before you sign it. BTW, you might want to read my last blog since it relates directly to that chain & contracts towards the end.

Black light anything is pretty much a big no until you know what you are doing & how to control it. I made a huge mistake about that early on that I don't think I care to share publicly.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Welcome around and congratulations on getting hired!

You can definitely find the answers to most of your questions on the boards, and you'll find lots of good make up ideas around here too. It really depends on your face and look what'll work well for you. You can start off with however you usually wear your make up when you go out, and maybe intensify it a bit so it's more visible in the dim lighting. I've never had fake nails, and just make sure they look nice when I go into the club. Again, depends on the look you're going for though.

Be polite and cordial to the other dancers. If one of them says hello, say it back. But stay out of their ways and don't try and chat them up in the dressing room. You're there to work, not make friends, and you definitely want to avoid club drama. If a girl offers you advice, thank her, but use your common sense and take it with a grain of salt.

Most clubs make you sign a contract that outlines that you're responsible for paying taxes on your income, goes over the contact rules, and any other club rules. As with any contract, make sure you read it all over before signing it.

I've never seen a girl in black light body paint, but I guess that would make you stand out. Personally, I wouldn't wear any though, especially not as text. I feel like it would just be distracting and take up a lot of time painting that could be otherwise spent hustling.

wear enough makeup that the customer can tell you're wearing makeup but not so much that you look like a clown basically.

makeup I use: pencil eyeliner on the bottom lid, liquid eyeliner on the top lid, eye shimmer, foundation, and lip gloss.

too much makes you look freaky under the blacklight

be as nice to the girls at your club as you would to any other coworkers. give them a chance, they might not all be bitches but keep your guard up. don't let anyone borrow ANYTHING when you first start. stand your ground and don't be easy to walk all over.

I can't really help too much compared to most on here since I'm still a newbie myself - but I know for a fact blacklight paint is horrible stuff!

It transfers onto everything almost instantly and doesn't wash off for days. I have a blacklight paint handprint on my fridge that just won't come off!

    Good luck and congrats (:

I have a 100 page "how to do stripper makeup" free pdf in my newsletter auto responder, just click the link in my signature and it will be emailed to you automatically.

Use your best judgment who to take advice from. You will more likely get better free advice on here than you will in your club.

I wear short acrylic french manicured nails.

Deja Vu contracts suck. Be sure to read it. They basically say that you agree to their rules and if you break one then they have the legal right to fine you.

Body Paint maybe for a feature show...but not for everyday use.
