Default Burnt out again.... or tired? BLERGH

idk whats going on with me lately. i cant be bothered approaching and sitting with customers and waste a good chunk of my time if they dont get dances.

summer is around the corner so i need to get off my ass and get motivated coz people are starting to spend...

i been waiting all year for it to get good again but i just cant be bothered anymore. maybe if i had a really good night?

im moving back to mums for 3 weeks until my next apartment, i dont know should i take time off and do a mini holiday or something?

i try and talk to guys when im on stage usually or stand around the bar waiting to get approached. yeah, it sucks.

anyone feels similar? what do you do about it? i want ideas on how to make the most of my time there....

Sounds kinda like your burnt out.....you said burnt out again though; does that mean you recently ran yourself raggeded and took some time off?

Anyway, if you can afford it maybe a Mini Vacation would be a good idea. I find if I don't go into the club for a week or two I end up missing it.

Where is your moms place? If it's in a county area then just spend some time hiking, relaxing in the sun, gardening. Therapeutic stuff. Helps you see the bigger picture and realize how small some things are in the grand scheme of life (this is something I remind myself constantly after a frustrating night at work). If your mom is in the city, then maybe go look through some cute little consignment or antique shops for a nice piece of furniture for your new apartment? Get extra sleep and let momma cook for you (if she's willing....).

You don't need to take all 3 weeks off, but maybe a nice 10-day guilt-free relaxation period is what you need......

I bet one good night will be enough to help you get your drive back.

    Take care. XOXO!

I take a week off every 5 or 6 weeks or so. it hurts my money but my money would be hurting if I walked into the club with the kind of attitude I get after working for too long

You need a little vacation to get you ready for summer. Once you start havig better nights, you will not feel this way anymore. Good luck, sister

Mini Vacations are the best! Personally I only go into work when I'm motivated and in a good mood. This month I worked 10 days straight and didn't start to get burnt out until tonight. Now I'll be taking a week or so off until I miss it enough to get excited again.

I've noticed when I go into work happy and ready to go I'll make 5x as much as when I go in miserable. If you're smart with your money and plan ahead for times like this you won't feel guilty taking any time off.

Dancing is a job that can take a lot out of you emotionally, physically and mentally. I find ways to make it easier on myself. When my body is feeling a bit beat, I treat myself to a massage and buy off stage until I feel ready again, stage work does a tune on my joints. When I'm feeling emotionally drained... I focus on customers that may not spend as much but, will shut the fuck up and let me dance. If at any point somebody is being too obnoxious for me.. I'd rather just leave and try to find somebody else before I put my seven inch stiletto in his eye..

KEEP YOURSELF HAPPY! Dancing is a job where you're your own boss.. make the most of it.. take a break and come back refreshed and ready to bank.
I like to party.. So I like my Jesus to party too.

i had a close friend work with me on sunday which was good. i sometimes need to pair up so we can motivate each other and we ended up going through the whole room with minimal DR time and extracted some money on a seemingly impossible night.
its been so busy with all the moving and landlord being a dick, then school finishing and going to meetings and final everythings, plus the film i was working on was shooting in a week and yeah i guess i like it when lifes boring...

hopefully doing doubles i can save some money and treat myself to some shoppings, or beauty salon and eventually some travel with the bf..

Pairing up can definitely be a good motivator, glad that's helping you out! I hope things calm down in the rest of your life soon, it sounds like you're pretty busy, so no wonder you're too tired to get motivated at work.
