    Question Nutrition Project Idea

I'm taking a college class on nutrition, and we have to do a project on anything we want. The professor said some examples people have done in the past include an analysis/review of protein bars and giving a "makeover" to a friend's ktichen cabinets (contents). I can't think of any good ideas - what interesting aspect of nutrition could I explore? TIA!!

Perhaps nutritional needs when recovering from surgery?

I have no idea if this is suitable or not, never having taken any sort of nutrition course after high school, but I'm throwing it out there just in case.

My old trainer argued that the expensive protein drinks and protein powders that you drink after working out are the exact same thing as chocolate milk. I would LOVE to know if that's true. The whole "Post work-out Protein drink" phenomenon is worth millions of dollars, yet apparently it's all hype. I checked out the labels, and the nutrition facts are VERY similar......chocolate milk actually had higher amounts of protein in some cases! And lowers calories...

    Just an idea.

I bet if you watch Food, Inc, Fresh, Supersize me, or Processed People (all entertaining food/diet documentaries) you could come up with some fantastic ideas.

Personally, I'm interested in issues surrounding sustainable living, GMOs/hormones/chemical additives, raw food diets, and extreme calorie restriction diets.

Let us know what you decide!
