    Default Freaking OUT

So I am getting my license on Monday and I am FREAKING OUT. I am so worried I will get on stage and freeze. Also, what the other girls are thinking...
So for my first time would it be better to make a routine or just go with the flow? I am really nervous. Does anyone have any good tips on selling themselves while dancing, things that guys always tip for. I also don't have shoes or a robe, so I have no idea what I am going to do if my boss asks me to dance before I get paid on friday. Ahh I am just so nervous. I don't want to look like an idiot. Help, anyone?

i'm quite new myself, but when i was planning for my audition, i didn't construct an entire routine. i did, however, practice quite a bit, and figured out a basic "game plan" for what I would do. my only bit of advice is:
    -go slow!
-act like you're having a good time
-change positions (slowly, lol) so that everyone is able to see you from a different angle

    good luck

You will do just fine. Take Leila's advice. And remember, be polite to all the girls & the people around you. You will hear a lot of negativity in a stripp club from the girls & customers , but just focus on the reason you are there. That is to make MONEY! Mind your own business & you will survive in this industry. And when you have good nights, treat your self for a nice outfit or perhaps a pair of "scrimper" shoes. Best of luck!

I think the absolute best advice for a newbie on stage is to go slow. I've always noticed that new girls tend to move fast like they would at a regular club. While it looks good with clothes on, it rarely does with them off. One piece of advice I got when I first started, was be fluid. Sometimes your body can tend to be jerky with movement (it's usually nerves). So focus on moving smooth and fluid. Also, it's good to be polite and friendly but not to air out your business in front of people you don't know so well. Give people a chance to get to know you and not your voice. As far as what the girls are thinking... if all the girls thought you were the most beautiful girl, that's great, but it's not them who makes your money for you. It doesn't matter what any girl thinks of you, you have to be focused on the customers and not the girls. This is a great business to be in but you do have to use your head. After 2 weeks you'll feel like a pro. I'm not sure but since you said your getting your license, does that mean your dancing in Vegas?

Don't worry about coming up with a routine or anything like that. Just youtube a couple floor work videos and remember a few simple moves that you can easily do. Move slow, run your hands over your body, pose, just do really easy stuff that you know you look good doing. Basically, go with the flow, but it wouldn't hurt to have a few moves in mind.

As for selling dances, just be nice. Go up to a customer, ask to have a seat, make chit chat and then ask if he wants a dance after a song or two, or if there's a pause in the conversation. Just be confident, and keep telling yourself you're hot and everyone wants a dance from you. Try and have fun!

get there early when no one is at the stage. at my club no one usually shows up until around 7 or 8 so it gives me time to practice new moves. we have a mirror next to the stage so I always watch myself and see if it looks sexy. always smile.

if no one's watching you close your eyes and feel the music and just dance however you want. it doesn't have to be sexy dancing. you being half naked makes it sexy.

Which club are you going to be working at? I'm also in Utah (SLC) as well and I'm debating on which club to go in for an audition.

I work at southern x-posure downtown. I didn't have to audition I just walked in. Its 18 and over but they have 21 and over ones too that make more money if you are over 21. Let me know if you have any questions

And thanks everyone!!! I don't know how well I did but I didn't fall on my face and I made some money I love it going back tonight!

Oh really! That's awesome. I'm glad that it went well for you! Yeah, I'm not 21 just yet. I'll plan on going in sometime then. Do you really have to get a license to dance at ANY club in Utah?? And is Southern X a full nude club? Thanks girlie

Yeah you have to have a license..its pretty dumb. It doesn't take long though. It's full nude but I don't take it all off unless I am getting good tips haha one lady last night told me to take my under wear off and I told her to give me money and I would consider it. Theres no touching or anything so it's a pretty safe club. I really like it. I hope you come in!
