Default money stolen out of locker

today i went in, paid my housefee, hair, makeup, and dj fee early, like always so i dont have to worry about it later. it all came out to 180 plus a thong i bought from their store, so 200. there were no customers for 4 hours so i went to cash in some old funny money, about 580 or more in different parts of my bag. when i get to the office i count only 400.

someone went through the trouble of digging around my bag in a dressing room with a house mom, makeup artist, hair stylist, assistant, and no one noticed. the locker was right in front of the house mom. i usually tip the house mom extra too, and she didnt even say anything about it.

i paid 380 to go to work. i only made $60 by 2 am. i feel like crying.

I had a club manager stealing money from me years ago. Its one reason I don't recommend keeping money in your locker. The other is that sometimes the side walls in the lockers are not secure. Sorry this happened to you. Live & learn. :-(

QFT! That sucks! I think it was the house mom after reading your post. Keep your money on you at all times; that way, if you lose money, its truly your own fault, & not because someone stole from you.

Sucks to read that. Don't they have cameras in the DR? I always keep my funny money in my bag and cash it in at the end of the night, but our club is very safe and there are cameras everywhere, so nothing gets stolen.

What really caught my eye is how much you pay for your fees. $180, seriously? Ouch. Do you pay that every night or just Saturday? It seems crazy. I would feel such pressure on myself to pay off the house fee and then start making $$ on top of that.

So your locker was unlocked but you were tipping the house mom to keep an eye on it? My suggestion: always keep your money on you in a little purse or if you must leave $$ in your locker, lock it. I agree with the other girls. It sounds like it was the house mom took it.

We used to have a house mom at my club a few years ago. Girls would give her their money and she would put it in envelopes with the girls' names on them. Then girls would tip her at the end of the night. In the end it turned out that she was taking money from some of the girls (little amounts of money, but still, what a horrible thing to do, you know?)

Anyways I hope it doesnt sound like Im bitching at you. Im not. It sucks that this happened, I completely sympathize with you. Live and learn, I guess.

i used to work in a club where the girls never locked their lockers, and if they wanted to share they left stuff out on the table. there was a camera too and nothing ever got stolen in the 6 months i worked there. bleh.

thanks for the responses. i dont know if she did or not, but im buying a lock tonight. and yes, house fee is actually 160 or 120 depending on the day, plus the tipouts to the other people. i just hope that tonight is a great night to make up for yesterday.

You don't have a lock on your locker and you're complaining that your money was stolen? Foolish foolish girl.

Maybe it was one of the people that work in the dressing room.

If I have that kind of money in my locker I put a lock on it or give it to a manager that I trust.

Hon, I'm sorry this happened to you. Always keep your money on you or locked up....like Kylea said live and learn.

I know the sting of having your money stolen. This Sunday there were 2 day girls (including me) and other one kept following me around for tips. She was the first girl to talk to me when I was new so I have a mildly friendly relationship with her (I am not social with coworkers) out of courtesy. I was on a side stage and she convinced a big money customer to let her join me. I already had the remainder of the customers in the club including a regular tipping me. I put all my tips in a pile and covered them with a towel. So I walked off for a while to get some juice and eat some food she brought in.

As I turn around to come back, everyone is leaving and I see her bend down and grab a chunk of money. I told her, "Don't take any of my money" and she walked off really quick saying "Oh no, I'm just picking up my $2!". So to put things into perspective, I'm a top earner at my club and she is one of the worst performing girls. She has 6 kids under the age of 15, is in an abusive relationship with a younger guy, and really just represents a lot of the stripper stereotypes.

Believe me when I saw her do that, I was pretty pissed. The girls at my club are either constantly trying to find ways to rile me up, or test boundaries once in a while. The first thing I thought to myself was not to react immediately or anytime soon because I would be working based on emotions. So I took up the rest of my money and put it in my locker. Usually I keep my money on me though but I just didn't want any of it outside where she could reach it.

And unfortunately the best thing for me to do is to swallow it, learn my lesson, and keep working hard. I don't let these women get the satisfaction of knowing they have affected me. They have thrown away my keys before I got a small locker. I had to use all the money I made that day and more to get a key cut for my car. They've stolen things from me in the first weeks of me working there. They've came up and confronted me about things I've never said in front of customers. They systematically go after customers who tip me on stage. Whenever I get out of the lap dance room or more recently, VIP, they go sit on the guy when I go in the back to freshen up.

But my response to all this?

I come to work every week and work my ass off. I am always, always, always practicing either my stage moves, pole tricks, or hustling a customer. In the off chance I'm not doing one of those, I sit or stand really far away and drink some juice from the bar. Things are stabilizing at this point but every now and again I have to put someone in place. And new girls vary depending on if they make money or not.

I work in a really racist part of the next county and these girls are very much a product of their environment. They really and truly hate that I have a niche in white clubs. The only buffer I have to this is I have an extremely professional and caring white female manager who is married to a black man. She is very efficient in handling drama, arguments, pettiness, and general discord. Everyone else in management is shady and grimy.

I don't know if you feel like your club is worth it but do you have other options? If you feel like this is a one time event of bad luck then you should stay. This club is my ONLY option right now so it forced me to either sink or swim.

So yes girl, I can relate on all the emotions! Sometimes you just have to reach inside yourself and find that strength and surprisingly, it is always there. If you haven't found it yet, keep searching. I hope my story help you felt better and remember tomorrow is another day and karma is a BITCH!
